Light sweet flavor with dry leaves, toasty sugars, dry bread, faint toffee. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately sweet finish with toasted bread, light sticky toasted sugars, bitter leaves, faint dry caramel. Basic.

Sampled on draught at the Rack & Tenter, Moorgate. The colour is a deep dark brown with a cream-coloured head. The taste is malty with roasted notes and some caramel. The finish has a good fruity bitterness, with a long, hoppy finish. A good winter bitter. Very drinkable.

Dark amber with a thin white head. Aroma of yeasty malt, herbs, faint hops and fruit and vinegar. Taste of black treacle, grassy hops and a bitter, dry finish. Has some hints of apple and its quite sweet. I quite enjoyed it, but it did taste like it had started to go off.

Hand pulled at The Dog, Harvington, Worcs. Standard dark brown bitter with no remarkable features. Slight malt but lacking flavour, like so many seasonal ales.
