En Burbage. Clear conker red with a head of Gillette. Not convinced I should be entering this under the ’cask’ version, but it was a pulled pint in a pub. Varnishy walnut malt aroma. Palate of milk. Bitter nuthusk maltiness softened slightly by raisin and toffee. Grew on me slowly, but I didn’t finish it.

Jennings Cross Buttick Cask Conditioned, at the Wenlock Arms, London.
Tan brown body with a super bright white, shinny head. Sherry textured supported by sweet nutty flavours. Good bitter finish and palate. An out of the ordinary ale, the kind that keep you coming back to the Wenlock for more.
