COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Seasonal, October;
Tasting Notes: X marks the spot for the gem of the Lake District. A classic English style bitter with distinctive red and amber hues. Hoppy aroma and background notes of toffee give a balanced full bodied flavour - you wouldn’t expect anything less from this GEM of a brewery

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Reddish amber with white head. Initially a malty bitter, but then an oat like porridge type flavour emerges, quite rich for the ABV with reasonable body. Some hints of hop in the close. It’s ok.

Cask conditioned handpump Four Candles Oxford. An amber coloured beer with a loose white head. A slightly fruity aroma with a fairly complex mouthfeel of bitter coffee and a bit of spiciness. Bitter yet Autumnal. A decent drop.
