Cask conditioned & on handpump at The Alex, on 15/02/05. Deep rich brown colour. Rich, malty, roasted malts. Very moreish - I really enjoyed this one & it didn’t last long before it was all gone either :)

Reddish tawny colour. Restrained aroma, with a little malt, but nothing too. The flavour is dry and malty, Mellow, with a thin mouthfeel. Middle of the road. More autumnal than Christmassy, I’d say. Cask (handpump), Penderels Oak (JDW), Holborn, London.

Cask@The Red Lion, Isleworth, London. Dry, malty, lightly toasty (burnt toast). A touch of caramel, decent, but not outstanding.

Gazza (726) - Worcester, Worcestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 10, 2004
A red/brown coloured brew with a toffee malt aroma and taste which turns quite caramelly in the aftertaste but never bitter or astringent - just mellow and sweet with hints of bonfires and treacle. Full bodied and satisfying. (Cask from Ackhorne, York)

UPDATED: JUL 17, 2006 Jan, 2004 Cask Fresh @ Crown & Thistle, Gravesend - a Freehouse. This was the first pint of the day pulled from this cask, so the barmaid pulled through a throwaway pint first - the aggressive activity resulting in quite a foamy head. This is a gloomy looking beer, like a headmaster’s study. Body is just on the light side of medium. Has the dark malt notes familiar from other Jenning’s beers, but they don’t range far. Nice dry finish with slightly biting dusty hops. Pleasant enough. [3.2]
Winter, 2005/2006<a href=http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/28/289 VI, Brompton A pleasant fruity best bitter with some crystal malt notes near the finish. Soft and easy drinking. [3.2]

Sampled cask conditioned at Oliver Twist, Stockholm.
Burgundy colour. Deep fruity aroma. Malty and lightly salty. Fairly soft and decidedly less bold than most other Jenning's beers. Notes of black berries. Bitter finish.
