Brilliant beer. I love the cross-over feel of it - part traditional strong, part porter. Lots of flavour, rich and quite malty. Lovely creamy head.

On cask at Agricultural Hotel, Penrith. My friends always raved about this, but I’d tried it before and wasn’t keen. Tried it again yesterday and it was good. A smoky, dark ale with complex flavours. Good stuff.

Cask at The Wharf. A clear copper colored beer with a small off-white head. The aroma has a roasted coffee-like chocolate domination and some pleasant fruity hops. Dry in the mouth, full body. The flavor has roasted malts and dark chocolate, both hoppy and roasted bitterness. Some fruits. Bitter, roasted finish with some fruits. Quite pleasant and tasteful. 101020
