I rate beers I think significantly better than average, simple as that. I am not into showing off through word games. :)

Cask at the Pommellers Rest, Tower Bridge, 03/01/15 cheers to Ian for grabbing me this one. Clear chestnut brown with a decent beige covering. Nose is biscuit, toffee, dark malts. Taste comprises biscuit malt, straw, spice, toffee, light fruit notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok Old.

Cask at the Kings TUn JDW, deep mahogany with a lasting coarse ivory head, a roasty nose with notes of toffee and dark marmalade carries through onto the palate. Warming with Seville orange, burnt caramel, an earthy bitterness and light spicy woody notes. A favourite of mine in bottle, itís great to see it is even better on cask.

Very warming ale. Full of flavour. Licorice, and dark fruits to the fore. Spot on carbonation. I have shunned this in the past when itís been on at the local pub but never again. Lovely.

Cask, Sun Inn Pooley Bridge. My favourite old ale. Dark with a light creamy head that clings to the glass to the finish. Licorice, caramel, coffee taste with a smooth finish. Great in winter in front of a log fire, but I can also drink year round. Excellent.

Dark brown with a thin off-white head. Aroma of caramel, spiciness, coffee and roasted malt with a hint of alcohol and orange. Taste of lots of roasted malt and bitterness with coffee and chocolate. Tastes a lot of alcohol. I actually found the alcohol a bit overpowering, not something I would like to drink a lot of.
