COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Seasonal - Spring.
In the style of a light mild, this golden amber coloured ale has a subtle complexity. Made with Maris Otter barley and a blend of coloured malts and sugar, this beer offers a fullness and depth of character which will surprise you.
“Tomfoolery” derives from the antics of Thomas Skelton, Fool of Muncaster Castle in the Lake District. This mischievous jester was infamous for his pranks, and some believe his ghost still haunts Muncaster Castle today.

Cask conditioned @ Giddy Bridge (JDW), Soton. Malty caramel and banana. Fairly rounded and drinkable with a little earthy hop in the finish. Not too bad but slightly lacking in both the hop and malt departments.

Light, pale ale style beer, well balanced with the malt and hops, pleasant enough for me to have 4 on a session

Cask at the Bridge, Kingswinford. Pours murky gold with a small head. Aroma is dirty straw with some spice. Taste has toffee to start with some straw and spice on the finish. A little tin.

4.0% amber colour with a good head, slight hop and malt aroma, malt taste, nice beer, shame I had it on the same day with a beer I liked more.

On cask at Bridge Inn, Menai Bridge, Anglesey. Amber ale, pours well with a decent white head. A standard session ale with low carbonation. Pleasant enough but nothing special.

Cask. Aroma is malt and caramel, light copper, small custard head, trace o’ lace. Flavour is roast malt, toffee, red plums, apples a bit of woodiness too. Light bodied, very well balanced, sweet, bitter and dry. Terrific session!

Cask conditioned handpump Racehorse Northampton. A golden coloured beer with a whitish head. A light aroma of slight hop but at the back is a nasty rubbery note. This carries forward big time into the mouth which is pretty nasty. Boiled underpants. Yuck.

Cask@The Monro, Liverpool. Bronze colour with a fading off white head. Sweet slightly fruity aroma. Flavour was sweet malty and lacking any real character. Lightly bitter finish. Ok (ish) but leaning towards the average side of the street.
