(Bottled) Brown and cloudy with no head. Scent is predominantly coffee and dark chocolate with some hop in the scent. Quite watery. Some bitterness but not really dry. In the mouth: lots of coffee, roast malts and some dry hop.

Bottled. A red amber coloured beer with a short lived off-white head. A predominantly malty beer with a good dash of coffee in the aroma and some but not as much in the taste. Some woody qualities, and pretty tasty all round. Better than expected.

Clear red with a pathetically collapsing off-white head. Inviting coffeeish malt aroma like a mild, with background toffee. Forced fizz and bluntly bitter cooked hop deadness, but rounded out nicely with mellow coffee, chocolate malt, varnishy wood and walnut bitterness. Slightly good, but wrecked by pasteurisation.

Bottle from Waitrose. Pours dark amber with a small head. Chocolate and toffee nut aroma with roasted malt hints. Flavour is the same, but with more caramel. Exactly as described by the commercial description for once! Finish is way too quick for my liking though!

Bottle. Bronze with an off-white head. Aromas are toffee and chocolate malts with some biscuit. Fruity with berries. Spicy, earthy hops with a goo roast character. Flavours are sweet toffee with spices and coffee. Fruity, vinous and earthy. Decent.
