Pitch black colour, beige and disappearing head. Aroma has ash, bitterness typical to a porter, some chocolate, coffee and oatmeal. Foamy palate is too high on CO2. Dry flavour has lots of coffee, some chocolate and hints of ash. Very good!

Old rating: Not the biggest sensations, this stout / porter is slightly boring but still one of the best beers from the brewery jensens to date. sorry.

colours is black with a creamy top. Aromas: malt, chocolate and coffee. Flavours vanilla and chocolate.

Bottle. Dark brown colour with a tan head. Aroma is oak, licorice, coffee, cellar. Flavour is oak, licorice, coffee, spices, roasted malt. Full bodied nice beer.

Bottle, from trade with Papsoe. A sexy-looking beer, black as can be, with a finger-thick tan head sitting patiently on the top. There’s cellar, tea, licorice, some alcohol and notes of spices on the nose, and roasted, tending towards burnt, malts as a base. The flavor is roasted and sweet, nice but a bit boring and uncomplex. Sweet and roasted finish too, full body. The oak didn’t leave much in this one, or was smoothened out during my cellaring, anyway, it’s a quite nice and tasteful beer. 091127

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Flavour is roasted malt, malt acidic, vanilla and chocolate.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown/black beer with a lightbrown head. The aroma is malt, roasted and chocolate.The flavor follows the nose with some wood and vanilla. The palate is roasted and sweetness. Overall an average beer, could have a weak infection.

Bottled. A dark brown beer with a light red shine under a thin tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, wood, alcohol, and prunes. The flavor is sweet with ntoes of malt, alcohol, prunes, and wood, as well as a touch of vegetables.

Bottle @ Odense Tasting. Thanks Sfhodense. Pours nearly black with a small creamy beige head and lacings. Nose & taste is sweet oak and milk chocolate. Dry and dusty. Medium bodied.

Bottled (thanks Timo A!). Quite much pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is caramel, wooden, some slightly fruity and acidic notes as well. Flavour is coffee, mild acidic notes as well as burnt wet wood. Semi-sweet, but wellbalanced.
