Hazy golden color with good head. Burp water too much carbon dioxide, a beer at the head does not hang together.

Bottle. An almost clear golden-orange beer with a white head. Slightly fruity nose with pale malt. Meaty flavor with pale malts and some fruits. The smoked supposed to be in the beer is either super weak or diminished after some months in the cellar. Medium body with a pleasant level of carbonation. Not easy to pin, this one, and not my cup of tea. (081003)

50cl. Thanks, Maria! Poursa a cloudy-to-opaque darkish orange with a thick and fluffy white head. Falls quickly to film and leaves intermittent stringy lacing. Has a sourish, funky, footy nose. Comes on a little sweaty but it’s not diacetyl, it’s definitely a combination of the wheat and the yeast. It’s nice once you get used to it. Very creamy body on the high side of medium. Active carb, feels a little sharpish, but there isn’t overly much of it. Oranges, spice, and a candied fruit quality on the mid-palate. Doesn’t have a super dimensional flavor profile, but the body is just lovely--creamy and dense at first, but doesn’t cling to the tongue at all, just moves right along. Very satisfying and a bit offbeat. Could definitely make me appreciate the possibilities that come with lager yeast.

BelgiskOlklub (750) - Viby J, DENMARK - MAR 29, 2008
Bottle. Average size creamy white head that’s diminishing fast. Spare lacing. Cloudy orange body. The aroma is dominated by a smoked malty profile and citrus and orange from the hops. The body is medium and has a oily texture and average/soft carbonation. The flavour is rather sweet and only light acidic and hoppy.

Bottle. Hazy yellow colour with a medium creamy head. Here stops the fun. This one is clearly infected in every war.Very acidic and ugly aroma and taste. Did the head brewer from Samsø stop by?
