2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Stine (1434) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUL 5, 2007
Basic black appearance with a nose of red berries, cocoa and weak dark roast. Dominated by an acidic vanilla cola residue which suffocates the earthy, dark malt interior. Continously cloying sugar shouts. Palate is too airy to balance the brazen sweetness. Fails to satisfy, though a fair attempt.

Bottle. Black color with a quickly diminished tan head. Nice coffee and roasted malts and chocolate in the aroma but retains some of the cardboard characteristics of many of these types of foreign beers. Lightly smoked and malt finish. Not bad really, and nice to see a beer like this from Argentina.

Bottle: Pours black with a smaller tan head. Nose is mild of roasted malt and coffee, taste is similar. Not much going on, just a lingering, dry coffee flavor.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 CaptainCougar (7107) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - JUN 2, 2007
Pours a slightly oily black with a nicely-lacing frothy dark tan head. Aroma of slightly earthy semi-sweet dark caramel and chocolate malts with a faint touch of diacetyl. Body starts slightly sweet and caramely with a hint of butterscotch complexity and lingering dark chocolate in the finish. A nice stout.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 HopheadHans (803) - Bay Area, California, USA - JUN 1, 2007
Bottle. The only drinkable beer of this brewer. Pour siwht a fairly black color. Aromas of smoked malts, flavors of smoked malts, chocolate and toast. Halfway decent.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BückDich (5466) - McCall, Idaho, USA - MAY 22, 2007
Bottle: Dark color, nice tan head and superb lacing. The nose is very roasty and smoky with a sweet charbroiled note. Like some coffee rubbed pork spring rolls or something. The flavor is a bit more intense with a nice mineraly mouthfeel to accent the roast and sweet underlying malts that are obvious underhopped for a reason. Trying to eek out that nutty sweet quality like guinness maybe? Their water is made for it. Maybe that’s why their lager sucked balls.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 lucien (42) - ARGENTINA - MAY 17, 2007
Nice dark colour, good long lasting head. Strong coffe aroma and smoke as well. Taste is coffee too with roasty malt with a little acidity and some plastic or metallic in the aftertaste. Some may like this acidity. This is a good product and a good example of argentinian homebrewery scene. There are better ones, but this one is in the top ten.
