Commercial descriptionThe brewer markets this same or near-same product by more than one names. This can be the result of a brewer distributing this beer under different names in different countries, or the brewer simply changing the name, but not the recipe at different points in time.
This collaboration ale is one we’re proud to share with our Swiss friends at BFM! Released individually in the two countries, this one was brewed at Terrapin in September of 2011. Prior to the beer’s release in the fall of 2012, it was beautifully aged on American oak and bourbon. With a rich, warm consistency, expect an oaky-alcohol smell on the nose with a dark fruit aroma following. This big barleywine (made with rye, of course) is a perfect match for cool, crisp evenings with friends.
