the aroma is a little off but not bad. overall a fair beer, better than the macros as far as session type beers go. I think its alright and would buy it again. New Jersey represent
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jcalbi (378) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 8, 2002
Clear light yellow color with a foamy white head. Blandish corn-like aroma. Slight hop bitterness to start, the middle brings this ricey/corny adjunct flavor, yet the beer finishes clean. Average.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 raymow (745) - Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 6, 2003
Not exactly the best beer I've ever had. It almost tastes like a quality microbrew, but falls a little short. I'd drink it again over Bud or Miller, but it wouldn't be one of my 1st 8 or 9 hundred choices. (Close but no cigar!)
2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 skisangelo (60) - Collingswood, New Jersey, USA - MAR 29, 2005
A golden copper pour with minimal head. Aroma is sweet and no real hoppiness. A drinkable beer but nothing special.

Golden pour in the glass. Slightly floral and fruity nose. Taste is pretty bland malts, grain and light hops. Rated 6/29/02
2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20 tsarman (794) - Northern, New Jersey, USA - MAY 9, 2005
Jersey Gold in the House. State brew of the greatest state. Unfortunately, not that great a beer. Maybe the bugs floating in mine did not help (flew into my glass and died without me noticing it), but this one had a bad aftertaste and little good beforetaste.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 PorterPounder (3944) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 18, 2005
Pours a cloudy medium golden with a decent sized white head - good bubble action. Faint nutty aroma with some worty accents. Flavor has some malty breaded notes. Some honey sweetness as well. Mouthfeel is clean and smooth at first, but turns a tad metallic near the end. Thanks to Aurelius for this.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 austinpowers (2827) - New York, New York, USA - MAY 9, 2003
A fairly decent, yet watery ale that won't offend because there's little complexity here. If you're looking for a mild, gulping ale while in Ocean County, NJ, you've found it. Contract brewed in 2003 by River Horse brewing, which is known for making some extremely mild ales itself.
