Clear medium to dark amber orange colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, caramel, moderate to heavy yeasty, reiped fruit, sugary, alcohol - booze. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, dark fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. 75 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small tan head. Fruity, dark malty, light yeasty: classic well brewed belgian. Smooth caramelish, wellhidden alcohol. Sweet and fruity finish.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours an almost clear reddish amber with an off-white head. Lots of brown sugar and booze in the nose. Solid body, again brown sugars, dark dried fruits, subtle roast, quite some spices and a massive booziness. Certainly no Bière de Garde! 310312

Bottle @ Fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark amber with a ruby hue. Aroma and taste are yeast, fruits, caramel, malt and hops.

Pours lovely clear mahogany with a small, staying, frothy, off-white head. Aroma has caramel, red berries, mild vinious, toasted notes, light macademia nuts. Medium carbonation, fat and oily mouthfeel. Flavour is toasted caramel, red berries - primarily red currants. Vinious, light molasses. Overripe plums, mild chocolate and lovely malty. Delicious and elegant.

Bottle. Dark amber color. Butter cookies and maple syrup in the aroma. Sharp alcoholic sweet flavor with some distant vinous notes and butterscotch. Oaky aftertaste. Not unpleasant but limited in depth.

Bottle. Hazy maroon color, medium off white head. Aroma of summer fruit, white bread. Taste is similar. Decent.

Bottle @ FOneFan. Unclear dark amber with small tan head. Aroma is malt, fruit, yeast and dark fruits. Flavour is malt, yeast, dark fruits, medium sweet, caramel, little toffee, little bitter with notes of alcohol.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, ruby amber colour with a big and beige foamy head. Yeasty, bready and mildly toasted malty aroma with notes of candy, raisins and a tinge of alcohol. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, full bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Bready toast-malty taste with caramel and mildly vinous fruity notes of raisins, cassis and plums; sweet and delicately bitter finish with present fruity notes and a warming alcoholic strength.
