Brune mi-claire, mi foncée, effervescence moyenne-forte, col beige fin. Malts caramel rôtis, légèrement aqueuse, notes de fruits et de chocolat, plutôt sèche sur la fin. Assez agréable...

Stubby 330 ml bottle as BRWN, poured into a trappist glass. ABV 7% Light mahogany brown colour on the body, light beige head on top. Good sized, kind of thin but with very good retention and nice formed lacing left on the glass. Aroma of caramel, malts, a bit grainy, raisins, plums. Taste follows the aroma, only more fruity now, the caramel more intense, some light roasted malts. Fruity aftertaste with a touch of bubblegum. Mildly bitter. Medium body, good carbonation. Overall quite good, from the first sniffs I wasn’t too excited but after it breathed a bit, it turned out to be actually nice.

Medium brown colour. Some caramel in aroma and taste. Herbal gale in the background. Smooth, creamy texture.

Swaroga (1353) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAY 22, 2013
33cl bottle. Hazy brown with medium and tanned head. Nose : caramel, burned ginger bread, chocolate, yeast. Sip : good carbonation, creamy body. The beer is medium sweet with roasted malt notes. It's well balanced and easy to drink. The finish is almost dry with still dominating and really interesting roasted cookie and chocolate feeling. Quite interesting. Certainly not a bad beer.

Medium brown, light misty and tan head. Sweet malts, burned sugar, bready yeast and light spice. Bready taste, yeasty yet nice. Light sweet, fruity. Decent brew. (33cl bottle from Bierparadijs)

@ Zythos 2013. A clear dark brown colored beer, with a beige head. The aroma of burned malt with notes of chocolate. The taste also of some burned malt with notes of chocolate with spices. The aftertaste of sweet chocolate and some bitter notes.

Noctilucus (100) - All over Belgium, BELGIUM - JAN 23, 2013
Deep burgundy/brown with a solid head of very fine beige foam The scent is mostly roasted, red fruits, some candi sugar (but not that sweet overall), maybe something nutty Taste is a mix of sour, nutty, roasted, reasonably malty, some iron. While the taste itself is strong enough, the mouthfeel or body underneath is a little thin for a 7% beer. The aftertaste is a little weak except for the roast, almost smoky Overall good though not spectacular, at least original compared to a lot of Dubbels out there

Melig bier, ook qua smaak. Onprettig palet en licht metalig. Donkerbruin, weinig schuim.

33cl bottle, very munich malty nose. monotone malty nose. No roasted aroma. MF: spritzy. Very uninspiring, boring brew. Bad recipe.

Red brown colored beer. Malty nose, caramel and fruit. Caramel, malty sweet. Low bodied. Notes of bitterness. Hardly any aftertaste. Disappointing.
