18/10/2010 - 75cl bottle @ home

Note: the beer had been aged for 6 months

Pours a pretty clear darkbrown beer, beige creamy and adhesive head. Aroma holds caramel, chocolate, alcohol, dried fruits. MF is ok, nice carbon, full body (due to aging?). Taste has caramel, mocha, red berries, roasted malts. Aftertaste more caramel and roasted malts with some spices.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Belgium, 01.10.10 consumed at home 03.10.10. Pours puddle brown with off-white head. The aroma is malty but also a little meaty. Nice soft mouthfeel, med’ carbonation. Despite being 7% it’s a touch thin I feel reminding me of a fairly ordinary British Mild but on steroids, bit caramelly, but there is some oomphh.. Bottle 33cl. Pours out brown-redish with a nice big off white head that holds ok. Doesn’t looks bad. Earthy aroma, some spices and red fruits. A bit unpleasant smell. Lightly roasted taste, spiced and fruity, burned malts. Better then expected, specially after the smell.

Bottle@Home. Very fruity, light sourish typical Belgian ale. Some laurel and bitterness in the finish. Not sure it’s hops. Easy going.
