3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
33 cl bottle @ home. Pours a golden color, a bit hazy, with a white head that lasts throughout. Aroma’s of candy sugar, some sweet fruit, hints of spices and hopbitterness. Flavor is slightly sweet. Body is on the thin side. Mild bitterness in the finish. I expected a horribly herbal/spicy beer, but this is actually quite a pleasant blond beer, albeit not very special.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pale golden beer, with a pillowy white head, though rather quickly receding to some floating fluffs of foam. Malty aroma, yeasty, notes of spices, fennel, pepper and light paprika. Nose is resembling a good Belgian Tripel. Flavour is nicely malty, fruity, quite hoppy. Also reminding of a Belgian tripel. Some anis. Rather sweet, especially when the initial flavours subdue.
I was rather surprised by this beer, it seems a very decent and balanced brew, even though it contains seitan, herbs and cane sugar. Only flaws seem that the cane sugar sweetness is a bit too hard and unbalanced at times, and the beer leaves a rather prickly feeling on the tongue.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Courtesy of Papsoe. It pours a slightly unclear body, golden in color and with a dense, off-white head of moderate size. The aroma has a pleasant peppery touch, it’s citrusy, peachy fruity with yeast and some pale malts. The flavor is quite sweet, would like it dryer. The spiced touch from the aroma is missing, but the fruity sweetness is present. Some faint notes of alcohol gives a little warmth, it’s sweet and pleasantly carbonated. A rather generic beer, but not bad. Would like it more pronounced. 101027

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Citrusy sweet aroma with a hint of alcohol. Pretty bland in the nose overall.
Golden clear colour with a white foamy small, though lasting, head.
Taste is very refreshing, with a mouthfull of malts and a background of hops. Gives a rather sweet aftertaste with a little tang. Screams for another drink, and then another. A little more bitterness would have been welcome to give it a nice kick.
The palate isn’t all that refined. There is the initial taste, the aftertaste that lingers and not much in between.
Overall a pretty nice biological beer. I’m curious to try the vegetarian Seitan-product that is used to brew this, since I can’t really assess how this plays out in this brew. Not as good as the regular Jessenhofke, and not as "festive" as the label suggests.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
(bottle, 33cl) Slightly hazy, pale golden coloured effervescent hue with a blond and tall foamy head. Slightly yeasty, citrus-fruity and flowery aroma with spicy notes of coriander and white pepper. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Pale malty, spicy and yeasty taste with lighter fruity notes; sweet-bitter, spicy and slightly alcoholic finish. Not that rounded. 02.I.11

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml bottle (Bacchus Cornelius, Bruges)
6 Coconut slice aroma, or macaroon
3 Deep orange, pale brown, not quite sure. healthy head
6+ Some perfumey retronasals at first, then a little vegetal - pulses. Very ’eco’ grain taste.
4- Full mouthfeel, but lively carbonation. Finish startes with some darkly roasted husky grains, then is full of tingly bitter noble hops, which is odd as no hops are listed in the ingredients.
13 Inventive brewing from Jessenhofke, and pulled off well, but not quite what I was looking for in a beer at the time. The Eco is obvious, but it’s not grungy.
