Aroma of malt, caramel, raisins, dried fruits, herbal notes, hint of hops. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a light to moderate bittersweet finish. Alcohol is fairly well hidden. Not the biggest Quad on the block, but dried fruits and slightly hoppy character are in its favour.

I found this a truly awful beer. The alcohol is overpowering, as if they poured a stiff shot of gin in it, it has an unpleasant smell, no head whatsoever and leaves a filthy, bitter aftertaste. It is made from all-organic ingredients, which is a pity; they might have been used for better purposes. The label states that it is a beer that tastes great now, but will improve in time; I know the first is not true, and seriously doubt the second. And why leave the vowels out?

(Draught at Delirium Tap Bar, Brussels, 22 Oct 2014) Hazy reddish brown colour with brief, beige head. Malty, slightly roasted nose with notes of dried fruit, figs, prunes and crisp-bread. Malty, slightly roasted taste with toast, dried fruit, figs, prunes, rye bread and a balanced spicy bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Quite bold and tasty, still fairly well balanced. Quite nice.
