Countbeer (4544) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - JUL 7, 2011
Draught @ OBM’11: Regular white head on top of a clear yellow colorered beer. Smell fruits, grains, malts, herbs and a hint of gas. Taste fruit, gas, spices (spicy), bitter, hops, soap, herbs, wheat. Fruity bitter aftertaste. Low carbo, soft tingly mouthfeel, medium body and a light watery texture.

750ml bottle shared by Travlr. Pale yellow, interesting oily head. The garlic doesn’t dominate, rather adds an interesting herbal earthiness. Quite unique, more balanced than I’d expect from a garlic beer. Floral, herbal, and interesting twist. Soft and creamy, a little odd.

CaptainCougar (7132) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - MAY 15, 2011
Bottle shared by Travlr: Pours a clear deep golden with a stringy-lacing white head. Has a lightly sweet biscuity malty nose with some fruity esters. Starts with pretty good fullness and sweet biscuity light caramel maltiness with a hint of peppery spice, but not a whole lot of garlic flavor. Finishes with a lightly sweet malty floral hoppiness. Could use a little more prominent garlic character, but its presence is pretty tasty.

erickok (3701) - Tours (and Paris), FRANCE - APR 17, 2011
Orange-brown light hazy body with snow white frothy head. Clove, hazelnut, ginger, earthy and very little bublegum. Quite nice and not standard Belgian tripel. Great lacing. Quite easy to drink with a nice full taste that balances pretty heavy sweets with just enough bitterness. Fine carbonation. This one was better than I expected. Fine sweet Belgian beer. Garlic isn’t listed on my bottle and not found either. (75cl bottle)

weaselkenievil (1608) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - APR 10, 2011
Bottle. Slightly murky blonde, usual tripel with a decent white head. Some sweetness and caramel with a hint of fruit, garlis has given it a peppery strangeness. Bit thin on the palate.

MoritzF (8562) - Bochum, GERMANY - MAR 21, 2011
(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, golden colour with a tall and slightly off-white foamy head. Lemony-fruity and slightly yeasty and peppery spicy aroma with a slightly wheaty background. Mildly bitter and slightly sweet flavour, medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Yeasty and slightly wheaty taste with distinctive notes of lemon and spices; a bit slim bitter-sweet and spicy finish. 14.III.11

A tripel beer spiced with... GARLIC. Who came up with that? It’s brilliant with breadsticks. Bit odd on its own, though. Think it keeps vampires away?
