(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, golden colour with a tall and slightly off-white foamy head. Lemony-fruity and slightly yeasty and peppery spicy aroma with a slightly wheaty background. Mildly bitter and slightly sweet flavour, medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Yeasty and slightly wheaty taste with distinctive notes of lemon and spices; a bit slim bitter-sweet and spicy finish. 14.III.11

A tripel beer spiced with... GARLIC. Who came up with that? It’s brilliant with breadsticks. Bit odd on its own, though. Think it keeps vampires away?

Far as I’m aware, a first for me- beer spiced with garlic, although I have often thought as I munch a raw clove, this might just work....well, it does. Pale yellow with an uneven, thickly lacing, meringue-white foam. Aroma certainly has a chopping board note about it, but so well blended with a typically Belgian, jellied lemon and galangal softness you wouldn’t identify it as garlic unless you knew it was there. Delicate and sherbety with a penny chew softness of gelatinous lemon, vanilla, lime, dung-speckled floweriness and biscuit. No alcohol discernible. Enjoyable, eccentric brew I’ll buy again if I see it, if only for the hilarious alcohol warning on the bottle...." DRINK MODERATELY BUT REGULARLY". Indeed.

Bottle @ home. Clear golden pour. Aroma is quite faint overall, some dusty malt, some fruit, some bread. Flavour is fruity, bready and with a sharp spicy sidenote, which is probably the garlic. Not a bad brew but garlic doesn’t really fit in (this) beer. Still not bad though. Nice balance between bitter and sweet.

Bottle from City Beer. Pours hazy blonde with a nice white head and a banana aroma. There is a sweet caramel malt flavor with some spice and a light peppery garlic finish.
