Far as I’m aware, a first for me- beer spiced with garlic, although I have often thought as I munch a raw clove, this might just work....well, it does. Pale yellow with an uneven, thickly lacing, meringue-white foam. Aroma certainly has a chopping board note about it, but so well blended with a typically Belgian, jellied lemon and galangal softness you wouldn’t identify it as garlic unless you knew it was there. Delicate and sherbety with a penny chew softness of gelatinous lemon, vanilla, lime, dung-speckled floweriness and biscuit. No alcohol discernible. Enjoyable, eccentric brew I’ll buy again if I see it, if only for the hilarious alcohol warning on the bottle...." DRINK MODERATELY BUT REGULARLY". Indeed.

Orange-brown light hazy body with snow white frothy head. Clove, hazelnut, ginger, earthy and very little bublegum. Quite nice and not standard Belgian tripel. Great lacing. Quite easy to drink with a nice full taste that balances pretty heavy sweets with just enough bitterness. Fine carbonation. This one was better than I expected. Fine sweet Belgian beer. Garlic isn’t listed on my bottle and not found either. (75cl bottle)

UPDATED: SEP 11, 2009 Nice herb beer with good head, good aroma, garlic in balance. Maybe a little more stability between the different beverages from different dates.

Hazy light amber coloured with a small ferm creamy white head and lots of yeast on the bottom. Very sweet yeasty aroma, herby, ripe fruits (banana). Full palate, nice balanced body, malty, light roasted. Finish is light alcoholic, sweet yeasty with some light bitter touches and a fruity (again banana) dry finish. Very nice homebrew.

33cl Dumpy brown bottle, best before 19 Nov 2011, poured into a Duvel glass on 10 Mar 2011, slowly, ensuring no sediment entered the glass. Mid golden body, almost dull and certainly not the regular bright tripels often found in Belgium. Clear with small bubbles rising through body from the Duvel ’D’. On top was a full, deep, white head, impressive considering how slowly I poured the beer. It left some heavy lacing as the beer level fell. The aroma was yeasty and hoppy, with a nutty hints. The refreshingly crisp taste was a good combination of hops and crystal malts. Easy to drink and it hides the alcohol content very well, I was impressed. A good beer and one of the many enjoyable Belgian tripels I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing.

Aroma of citrus and yeast. Hazy, orange coloured with a beautifull, creamy, white head. Taste is sweet, citric, yeasty, some herbal tones. Good bodied beer, some alcohol. Nice balance. Good brew.
