2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Fratto (2328) - Arlington, Texas, USA - MAR 9, 2012
On tap at the RBWG in Austin. Dark pour with a tan head. The big roast and chocolate of the original didn’t really mix with the sour fruit, tartness, and vinegar treatment for me.

2/25/12. On tap at the brewery during RBWG 2012. Nice aroma that shows the stout aspects but also a nice tart cocktail as well. Smooth milk chocolate aspect with funk and plenty of tartness, followed by lingering roast. Not too shabby.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 GODiSSOUTHERN (317) - Virginia, USA - FEB 2, 2012
This was the best sour stout I have had to date. Most are too sour to taste the stout qualities, but this was balanced out just perfect between the dark roasty flavors and the tart acidic qualities of a sour. Very good.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 SphinxTX (2846) - Mata Gorda, Texas, USA - JAN 30, 2012
On tap at brewery. Pours jet black with fast fading head. Aroma is acidic, some light funk, subtle dark roast. Flavor is great! Acidic, funk, hints of chocolate and dark roasted grain, dry and sour. Medium-heavy, soft body with fizzy carbonation. Overall, I am extremely impressed how they did this to the black metal...awesome brew!
