Yellow cloudy body with white head. Aroma acidic, yogurt, slight sweetness. Taste lemon, straw, yogurt, fruit. Mouth feel light and low acidic. Nice berliner weisse.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear pale gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a note of funky yogurt with backing light tart fruits. Flavor has a touch of the same tart yogurt note but tartness is more from fruit with a wheat backing

Bottle shared by Hopscotch. Clear yellow pour with no head. No real aromas. Sour but bland, watery and effervescent with a hint of artificial lemon notes. Another disappointment from JK...

750 ml acquired via trade from thirdeye. Thanks, Chad. Pours a nice mellow hazed golden orange hue, more golden, gentle orange glow on the edges and bottom. A loose bright white head froths as a firm layer, dies to a small ring and laces small. Aromas are bready, flaked wheat, a touch stale. Melllow yeast, touches of lactic acid, a touch metallic and yogurty. Mellow lemon starts to grow, a touch tart and sour. More bready, gentle fruit and sourness. Initial is lighter end of the fold, some bready malts, decent sour lactic twang. Lemony, yogurty, ok strength. A bit thin and light, some popcorn and grainy malts, bready element still show some life into the middle. Lemony sourness kinda sticks with me a bit more into the backend, arguably the best phase of this beer. More tart and sour, yogurty elements really take off. Not richly sour but very yogurty. Straw, dry bready and grainy malts. A touch of odd sweet grainy malt element. Finish is a bit citrusy, lemon, some spice and coolness, citrus and tartness. Mellow sourness. I get this, you definitely get the base beneath it. It’s an ok sour experiment, a bit big and base shows a bit much to really be a Berliner (which should probably be brewed for the purpose off the bat). A bit sweet at times, mellow, but still a fun beer, pretty drinkable. Just shouldn’t really be compared to some of the hot, good Berliners out there right now brewed for the exact purpose. Ok. A little sweet and girthy/sweet for the style at times for a beer that shouldn’t be.

Hazy pale golden color with a small white head and light lacing. Aroma of grains, cereal, light lemon. Taste was sweeter, grains, tart lemon. Overall, nothing much to write about.

750mL bottle. Poured clear, pale golden with no head sticking around. The aroma picked up sour metallic and oaky notes with a bit of fruit and raw wheat backing.. came across as solid for the style. The flavor found tangy metal and wheaty notes upfront, with grainy pale and wheat sweetness behind.. OK, but not exciting. Light-bodied with low carbonation on the palate.. I like this style, and this seemed to be missing a little something.

Thanks jason. Golden body with no head. Aroma is lemons and soured wheat. Flavor is mostly the same. Crisp light body.

Clear to gold pour no real head a little more color than traditionally in the style. Mildly sweet aroma not Mich there touch of bread. Avg palate. Not much to this lacks the clean bite a bit of sugars and bread not very true to style lacks pop.

It’s definitely light in color, yellowish golden, bursting with carbonation out of the bottle, but producing no sustaining head and no carbonation in the glass.  The aroma is much like a wild blonde, light and easy, but with a dominating soured grain character.  In the mouth, it’s a little awkward at first, with a strange, sour-tart flavor that really knocks your tongue in the nuts for a second. Following sips aren’t as bad, but it’s still pretty uncomfortable. To have something this sour and woody, with a soft, tangy bacteria-like flavor completely driving itself straight through such a weak, unsupportive beer is just a little too much to handle. It’s way too funky for such a light beer (at least for my taste buds).

A nice funk, saddleblanket and wheat aromas greet the nose. A bright jazzy yellow pour with a quickly disisapating white head and no lacing. Loads of fizz initially. Medium sour taste. Strong citrus notes, nice funk and a pleasing sour dry finish. Medium-light body with fizzy carbonation. Overall, well done Jester King. I will buy this again.
