3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 illidurit (1683) - Santa Cruz, California, USA - MAR 23, 2013
Bottle shared at the March tasting in Santa Cruz. Pours hazy orange. Dusty cardboardy aroma with some butter and brown sugar. Flavor is similar, with a musty malt base, some thinning whiskey character, mild lemon, nice finish of cinnamon and sugar, both from the spirit influence. Doesn’t really mesh to me.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 bbcd (110) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAR 23, 2013
Pours a fairly clear light gold with a large, pillowy. white head that leaves a little lacing. Cherry, lemon, earth, apricot, vinegar, a bit woody. Dry and fairly astringent. Not as sour as some others I’ve had, but that’s not a bad thing.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 adamjackson (1315) - Canaan, New Hampshire, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Acquired in a trade, enjoyed at 55F in a wine glass
A - Impossible to get any sort of head even on a vigorous pour. Looks like still Lambic with a reddish brown hue.
S - Hint of vinegar, cherries and peaches. Some burnt notes and lots of acidic tones.
T - Tangerine / Grapefruit acidity up front followed by cherries and figs and the finish is a watery vinegar with peaches and oak.
M - Completely still, medium body
O - The 9% is so well hidden. It’s a great tasting beer and really enjoyable. Just wishing it was carbonated.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Palme (2311) - Bergen, NORWAY - FEB 8, 2013
From 0.75l bottle @ Borefts 2012. This is a honey colored light hazy one with a small bubbly and sidesticking just off-white head. It has a vinegar-sour and fruity aroma with a little bit of farm, citrus fruits and a slight sweetens as well. It has a soft carbonation level and a oily mouthfeel. Soft sour with apple vine vinegar and citrus up front. It gives of a little burn in the throat. Suppose it’s the vinegar, not the alcohol. I also get tones of sour white currants and wood. Not a favorite from Jester King, but quite tasty. Leaving my mouth quite astringent and dry. Don’t think I could drink lot’s of this. 28.09.2012
