COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boxer’s Revenge is inspired by the hearty “stock ales” or “provision ales” produced by some of iconic farmhouse breweries located along the Franco-Belgian border and named in honor of the stalwart workhorse in George Orwell’s Animal Farm. It combines delicate notes of tropical fruit, citrus and spice from the primary French farmhouse yeast with tart, rustic, earthy notes from the Brettanomyces. A final dry-hopping with fresh Cascade and Centennial hops adds yet another layer of depth and complexity.

Brett makes the most of this beer then comes centennal flavours. Nice combination of wilderness and dry hoping. A réal treet..

HOMG 2014. Tart aroma that tickels your nose. Lots of sour flavors come through. A little bit of light fruit but the yeast and sour is what you are after here. Cloudy reddish brown color. Surprised to see the alcohol count on this one because it is absolutely not there. A little one dimensional with the sourness and not much else to round it out.

HMOG 2014. Hells yeah. Hoppy, medium tart awesomeness. White wine, light brett, spicy, oak. Easily could take down a 750 and then some.

Pours deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, vanilla, tart, caramel, tropical fruits and green apple peel. Taste is light to medium sweet and medium sour with a long fruity and sour, dry finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

Bottle, 75cl. An unclear, dark golden to light amber colored beer topped by a small, off-white head. The aroma has citrusy notes, caramel, barnyard, wood, tropical fruits, some alcohol and a faint note of intentionally sour milk. Tropical fruits, green apples peel, wood and some caramel in the flavor. Full body and way too much carbonation. Dry and lightly puckering. Vanilla and wood in the finish, along with the same flavors found initially. Overall, sure nice, but a bit too much in all directions for me to be impressed. 140315

Bottle from Errl! Orange gold with some reddish tint. Gusher and lots of floaty chunks that didn’t settle too well despite gentle handling. Great funky nose of pineapple, lactic funk. Bretty elements, tart orange pith. Full bodied. Love it. Taste and aromas are both pushing 9, but split the difference.

Capped 750 from Knightly in Orlando, FL Pours hazy copper with a transient beige head. Aroma of mildly sour fruit. Near med body. Flavor is tart/sour -seems very berry, the goes to citrus. A little wine, a little bourbon. Earthy. Finishes like all those flavors plus oak astringency. Really good.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours murky copper with virtually no head and a fruit and vanilla aroma. There is a complex flavor that includes grape, brett, bourbon and berries. The sour combines well with the hop bitterness. Interesting.
