COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boxer’s Revenge is inspired by the hearty “stock ales” or “provision ales” produced by some of iconic farmhouse breweries located along the Franco-Belgian border and named in honor of the stalwart workhorse in George Orwell’s Animal Farm. It combines delicate notes of tropical fruit, citrus and spice from the primary French farmhouse yeast with tart, rustic, earthy notes from the Brettanomyces. A final dry-hopping with fresh Cascade and Centennial hops adds yet another layer of depth and complexity.

Capped 750 from Knightly in Orlando, FL Pours hazy copper with a transient beige head. Aroma of mildly sour fruit. Near med body. Flavor is tart/sour -seems very berry, the goes to citrus. A little wine, a little bourbon. Earthy. Finishes like all those flavors plus oak astringency. Really good.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours murky copper with virtually no head and a fruit and vanilla aroma. There is a complex flavor that includes grape, brett, bourbon and berries. The sour combines well with the hop bitterness. Interesting.

The beer is light copper with ample head. A bit of a gusher. Served at cellar temp, so maybe best to chill this a bit prior to opening. The aroma offers funk, oak, white wine, earth, residual citrus. Champagne and white wine notes amid an earthy, grainy body. Very nice. A great afternoon sipping beer, which is exactly what I did. Dry finish with lingering funk. Very enjoyable.

Pours hazy muddy red. Smell is funky tart red ale like and old stale malt. Bit band aid like. Taste is funk yeast tart, malt. Reminds me of old sour ales. Not my style but seems well made for the style

At Jupiter during Sour Sunday 2014. Hazy orange with a white head. Aroma of funk, grapefruit and bitter orange. Similar taste. Easy to drink and not that sour. A tasty beer.

First of all! I love the book - and the name of this beer is brilliant! Now on to the beer: Oirts cloudy amber with a tiny white head. Aroma is very tart with notes of stable and general rural notes. Very wineish, also some vitamins, ripe gooseberries, red currants and a bunch of nice brett notes. I also get some hops in the back. Barrel is very subtle. Taste has a nice tartness with notes of balsamic, sour berries, wine notes, brett, rural notes, goose berries and some barrel quality. This is pretty good! Nice American sour with a high ABV!

Bottle from beer_no_evil. Pours a semi-murky gold with deep orange hue. Aroma is funky with oak and some lemon tartness. Taste is very tart, slightly astringent. Bright flavors of lemon and oak slip in with some menthol-esque flavors in the finish. Decent sour, nice complexity.

Appearance: the beer pours with a small beige head that fades away quickly, the beer is a very hazy and non transparent orange type color , lots of particles in this beer when you pour the whole bottle Aroma: some funk, very tart, kind of faint Taste: very sour, tart, barnyard funk, some bitterness is there, can taste the alcohol warmth, some red wine hints Palate: average carbonation, leaves mouth very dry, moderate mouthfeel, bitter and sour aftertaste Overall: very complex beer, very high in both flavor and alcohol, should be sipped slowly, it’s also very good,
