3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle I’ve had for a long time and was glad to finally open. Pours a cloudy apricot color with a small to medium eggshell white head. Aroma of tangerine, peach, lemon, apricot, oak, sweet dough, yogurt, and light lactic acid. Flavor of citrus, oak, florals, sweet malts, funk, cheese, and lactic funk. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a fruity, funky, lactic mouthfeel. Interesting and complex and fruity.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. A hazy amber beer with an yellowish head. The aroma has notes of hops, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of yeast, lemons, malt, and caramel, leading to a bitter finish.

750ml bottle shared by dudeabide. Pours a hazy light amber color with a small frothy white head. The aroma and flavor had tart citrus, mild acetic acid, oak, light bourbony notes, a splash of vanilla, mild funk, earthy character with mild bitterness to the finish. Light to medium body, easy to drink for 9% and a wild.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
One of my favorite Jester King Beers. Some subtle fruit notes in the nose, slight hop aromas, covered up with some funk and tartness. Taste is crisp, tart, earthy and slightly citrusy with a great over all sour back end.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
My Bottom Line:
This tantalizing Barrel-Aged Wild Ale presents juicy tropical fruit riding on a fine saddle of wild yeast, galloping towards a citrusy, tart horizon.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam decorates the misty blond shine.
-There is absolutely no sign of the 10% abv.
-Grapefruit flavors abound.
-The flavor profile is ever so elegant and seamless.
-White grapes also appear within the fruitiness.

Bottle@ Guren. Golden clear. One finger foam. No alcoholic feeling a all. Mango pineapple. Earthlike Brett aromas. Tart dry with some sweet initial touch. Long mouthfeel. This brew is in the premier liga.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml blend #4 6/2013 Pours a muddy amber/brown with a decent eggshell head - ugly beer. Aroma is heavy on brett with fruit/cherries, oak, and booze. Taste is quite nice - tart fruit/moderate acidity, funk, oak, and subtle whiskey/booze..gets much better with warmth and air. Medium body, dry brett finish. I would suggest giving this a bit of air before consuming as the last glass was by far the best, the alcohol and acidity mellows- split with the wife so not the booze talking.

Location: 750 ml bottle from Hay Merchant, 12/10/13
Aroma: The nose is funky goodness, earth, citric and a little fruity, oak/wood, and brett
Appearance: Opens up as a big gusher, fizzy beige head on a cloudy amber-orange body
Flavor: The taste is funky and a little tart, with fruity, citric, and brett flavors, the barrel flavor is noticeable but overpowering, and there’s a lighter bitterness that is earthy and fruity as well
Palate: The body is on the smooth side, with a tangy/sour feel, and a soft carbonation
Heck of a wild. I really enjoyed this one. The mix here is excellent: tart, funky, fruity, and a little bitter. This one is a really well-made and enjoyable beer. I’m quite glad I got to try this. I’d probably call this World Class.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours quite hazy copper amber, small bubbly white head, some lacing. Aroma is oak, tannins, yeast, caramel. Flavor is light tart, fairly astringent, some sweetness but a dry finish, sharp and biting, acidic. Earthy and a bit odd. Spiciness from the yeast. ABV well hidden. Medium body. Unusual for sure.
