COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boxer’s Revenge is inspired by the hearty “stock ales” or “provision ales” produced by some of iconic farmhouse breweries located along the Franco-Belgian border and named in honor of the stalwart workhorse in George Orwell’s Animal Farm. It combines delicate notes of tropical fruit, citrus and spice from the primary French farmhouse yeast with tart, rustic, earthy notes from the Brettanomyces. A final dry-hopping with fresh Cascade and Centennial hops adds yet another layer of depth and complexity.

Perhaps the closest to a perfectly satisfying beer I have tasted since I started taking notes on tasting. Pours a gorgeous copper color. Aromas are balanced funk, sweet citrus with sour peach and soft vanilla-ish barrel flavors. The taste is as close to the beer of the gods as we will see on earth. Funk with citrus that fades to peach as it warms followed by just a hint of barrel and some vanilla creaminess. The mouthfeel is equally as immaculate with just the perfect amount of carbonation that lightens the body of this beer nicely. Overall I can’t give a beer a perfect score until I’ve tasted them all at least once. This however was pretty darn close!

Smells like a really nice Gose with maybe a bit of malt, tickles the nose. Good amber color with a hint of red. Has a faint sour taste, not nearly as strong as it smells. Has a very nice after taste.

Bottle from a trade with mdg64. Pours hazy golden color with white head. Sour, funky aroma with some citrus and oak. Moderately sour lactic flavor with some citrus and oak. Medium body with lively carbonation. Very nice. Thanks Marc.

Bottle, from b3shine (thanks Beau!), shared with Grippitis and Parksy. Hazy orange-gold, rapidly receding white head. Refreshing tartness, lightly funky, with flavours of white grapes, citrus, and maybe a bit of tart/sour passionfruit? Incredibly drinkable for 10+%!

I aged this for more than two years and it seems to have been a good thing. Brett experience with much sour finish. Drinkable but more shareable. Not too complex. Lasting head.

Bomber bottle. Aroma is wild yeast with some funk. Appearance is a hazy gold. Taste is a funky, sour beer. Straight up. Palate is sour. Overall, a decent sour, but still not quite right. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Enjoyed on tap at Jester King Brewery in Austin, TX. Appearance is a rich gold with a thin white rim. Aroma of light Brett, champagne like, smells light but nice. Taste I think is fantastic, expected this to me more sour than it is, I find it crazy that this is pushing 11% ABV because it doesn't taste like it. Good stuff.
