COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boxer’s Revenge is inspired by the hearty “stock ales” or “provision ales” produced by some of iconic farmhouse breweries located along the Franco-Belgian border and named in honor of the stalwart workhorse in George Orwell’s Animal Farm. It combines delicate notes of tropical fruit, citrus and spice from the primary French farmhouse yeast with tart, rustic, earthy notes from the Brettanomyces. A final dry-hopping with fresh Cascade and Centennial hops adds yet another layer of depth and complexity.

Bottle... This beer rocks!... Pours a cloudy amber with a tissue paper-thin, short-lived, white head. The aroma is acidic, funky and doughy with additional notes of sour orange, leather and dry red wine. Medium-bodied with lazy carbonation. The flavor is tart, fruity and bready. Finishes tangy and dry with a mild yeasty bitterness. Big-time thanks to newcigarz for sharing this world class bottle of beer!

Orange colored beer with hardly any head. Low carbonation. Fruity aroma, some tartness already noticeable. Flavor: tartness, fruits and caramel. Nice sourish bitter aftertaste.

Pours cloudy orange with a super tiny white head. Smells tart, fruity, malty, and a hint of caramel. Taste is tart, fruity, and a tiny bit bitter. Medium-bodied with a slick texture and mild mouth-carbonation, Jester King Boxer’s Revenge Barrel-Aged Wild Ale finishes with a soft tartness.

Bottle share. Hazy gold with thin head. Serious Brett and grapefruit nose. Citrus, sour Brett and lights hops. Very good sour.

750mL thanks to Jace! Flat pour, full haze dirty orange. No foam. Nose is mild vinegar, some intense meaty Asian melon like jackfruit, mangosteen, lychee. Nice. Taste is a bit harsher acid, some sugar cube, mango power, dried mango chips. Palate acidic, citric, mild acetic heat. But very good as expected from JK.

Appearance: Pours an amber orange with nary a head.

Aroma: Faint soured fruit, melon rind.

Taste: Modest tart fruit (granny smith, white grape) some funky brett like bug. Nice wood notes that linger.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, juicy, modest bubbles.

Overall: A very funky beer with gentle tartness. A very good showing from such a young barrel program.

Bit of sourness, sweet malts, funk. Farmhouse, milky, sour. Drinkable refreshing. Orange glowing body and small head. Suits me well. (ZeeBra)

Bottle courtesy of "AKfaust". Colour... cloudy gold with a thick white head. Nose...apples, pears and lemons with a hint of quince. Palate...quite the sprite! Loads of lemon curd, kumquat and a delightfully dry feel across the palate.

750 ml bottle poured a light amber color with aromas of tart fruit, light Cherie’s, wet wood, whiskey, Brett, light funk, and some vanilla. Flavors are a mixture of the aromas, blended nicely, light sour fruits, Brett, and some booze, light dry aftertaste, damn fine beer.

bottle @ birefts 2012. One of the big surprises for me. Super sour and tart aromas of granny smith apple, grassy notes and butter/battered milk and whey. Nice sourness and vinegar notes in the taste. Definite like!
