Bottle thanks Pete. Ruby purple beer. Smells like straight Tempranillo wine grapes and a touch of funk. Taste like the wine grapes with a touch of carbonation and tart/funkiness. Very dry.

Pours a clear red with a small bubbly ring that doesn’t leave any lacing. Nose is of wine and red fruits, in line with what you’d expect from a grapes sour. Taste is of wine, nicely tart and offers some bright berries (raspberries). Body is medium, carbonation low to medium and mouthfeel ultra vinous. Classy and delicious!

Bottle (500 ml). Split with the Quebec crew. Thanks to Dan for this one!

Appearance: Beautiful clear bright ruby red with a small white head that leaves a little ring of foam.

Aroma: Grapes, berries, oak, hints of red wine, musty notes,,, a delicate and cohesive fruity aroma.

Taste: Grapes, berries, oak, very light sweetness (mostly a sweetness impression from the fruit I think because the beer is quite dry), moderate tartnesss and winey notes. A touch of alcohol too, but very light considering the abv.

Palate: Medium body. Moderate to medium carbonation. Dry and tannic finish.

Overall: Beautiful showcasing of the Tempranillo grapes in this one. Elegant, delicate, complex and damn tasty sour ale. The balance is great too. Alcohol is well hidden. Loved it.

Pours interesting purple hue with no head. Very tannic grape character and very dry. Musty funk on it as well. Not much sourness but plenty going on with the wine grapes.

Deep blood red colored pour. Almost purple. Small white head. No lacing. Pleasing nose of fruit and peppery barrel funk. Taste is peppery with notes of grapes. Dry finish. Mouthpuckeringly so.
