2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pint from Meddelsome Moth. Dark chocolate brown with barely off-white head, a little roasty coffee flavors going on here but not a whole lot else, decent brew, pretty non-descript finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Rated from notes: had at a share. Pours a cloudy ruby red color with off-white head. Caramel malts and some cereal grains, bread, and very light dark fruit notes on the nose; follows onto the palate. Not bad.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
from Mikkeller & Friends - quite clear dark ruby-brown beer with a firm and long lasting beige foam; chocolatey aroma with notes of cherries and marzipan; modefrate malt body, light earthy and creamy palate, dry and fairly bitter; notes of mocha and sour cherries in the finish - deeply interesting

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Backlog) 750 mL bottle. The color is brownish red in color. Clear. Has a creamy tannish head. The smell is malts, bread rolls, slightly fruity esters, and ok. The taste is malts, nice flavor, seems bigger than 3.2, grains, and has a medium body.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Slightly Malty, with a slightly robust mouthfeel. Didn’t really have much going on in my opinion. Probably Jester Kings tamest beer. Isn’t awful, but nothing to get excited about.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
750 ml bottle (notes). Pours a dark chestnut brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor had some cocoa, earthy notes, mild funk, and some background light fruit character. Not bad for a 3.3 % beer, but not much to get excited about either.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
From the November 2013 3R6P tasting. +++ Sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured a very dark brown color - almost black - with a huge fluffy tan head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was Dr Pepper, fig and cola. The flavor was dryish, nutty, malty and bitter with a touch of wood and a bit of toasty malts. Medium length, dry, bitter, malty and nutty finish. Medium body. Meh.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Had this at Where The Wild Beers Are. Pours a hazy brown with a thin white to beige head. Fuzzy musk and paper, a bit of cocoa. Chewy body with cocoa, warm paper and brownies. Cocoa, chocolate, light acid. Gentle funk moves into a thick roast component, funk with paper and cocoa on the finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A - Wow. A slow gentle pour generates 4 fingers of light tan head. A hazy dark chestnut colored body.
S - Cocoa and coffee, toasted wheat bread crust, oak, vanilla, and caramel.
T - Follows the nose, dark cocoa, roasted coffee beans, dried oats, caramel rides underneath. Some acidity around the edges. Bitter dark cocoa holds strong and becomes the dominate flavor when warm. Finishes dry.
M - Active carbonation. The carbonation really calms down as the beer sets creating a light to medium creamy body.
Loads of bold flavors packed into this 3.30 ABV! This is my kind of session beer. The cocoa and oats were the main flavors and melded together very well.
