COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English pub ale meets the French farmhouse tradition and American oak aging in this dry, drinkable farmhouse mild ale. Full-flavored, but brewed with enough restraint to be highly sessionable. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, and naturally conditioned.

Close your eyes and smell this one...smoked chocolate cherry blossom effervescence. Deep honeycomb brown and carbonated...light and smoky taste...unusual but delicious. Like eating bonbons in the barn...nestled in a pile of hay...watching the bible salesman approaching the house door and knowing no one is home to answer his call. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 ml bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a lasting brown head. Aromas of oak, carmel, toffee, fruittiness and light vanilla. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of oak, toffee and vanilla with a crisp dry lingering oak finish.

Dark mahogany pour with a nice beige head that fades down to a cap. Aroma is damp wood, caramel and nuts with a tart berry characteristic in the background. Taste is very much the same with funk and tartness coming through a bit more. Finishes very dry. Easy to drink. Good beer.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown, almost vaguely red color with a big white head. Really stuffy nose has a lot of dusty, cellar notes. Taste is very strange. Dark, tawny, yet very light. Has sort of an caramel apple thing going on. Really complex but low alcohol lets you drink a ton. Almost makes it tiring, but that’s drinking a 750 ml by myself.

Bottle. Pour is a deep, clear, reddish amber with a medium tab head. Aroma is lightly toasted malt, faint pumpkin pie spice, and light chocolate notes. Flavor is light coffee malt, faint raw grain, lightly spicy, and clean cocoa nibs in the finish. Also faintly earthy. Easy to drink with nice character. A little tartness shows though as it warms. Very nice.

Served with nice, tan head that settled after a bit and no lace. Color is clear, I think, and a dark, rich mahoganey.Aroma is malt, cocoa, vanilla, yeast. Flavor’s like nose plus a bit of a tang. Body is a little thin with good carbonation. Finish is like flavor; thinness is a bit of a drag, otherwise, not bad.

750 ml bottle from Capone’s. Pours turbid dark brown toward blackish, even through direct light. The head is one finger, khaki,, and well retained. Nose has cacao, roasty malt, some yeasty and berry notes. Tastes dry, with notes of oak, cacao, funky yeasty malt, blackberry. Complex flavor, dense mouthfeel, and a crisp tart finish. I can’t believe this one is only 3.5% ABV.

Aroma is earthy with hints of dark fruit. Pours a dark brown with a mostly diminishing white head and no lacing. The taste is earthy, nutty, and a pleasant woodiness. Medium body with average carbonation. Overall, a lot of taste for a low ABV beer. Very drinkable and great with food. Will buy again.
