UPDATED: NOV 10, 2012 Bottle received in trade. Thank you Jefferey. Pours hazy orangish golden with a rather thin white head that leaves lots of trace while dissipating. Smell is sour, fruity and funky with crackers, dark grapes, unripe plums, dry soil, barnyard, lemon juice, grapefruit juice, red flowers, hay and lemon zest. Taste is sour, tart and funky with lemon juice, crackers, green grapes, unripe pineapple, barnyard, grapefruit juice, lemon zest, mango, papaya, passion fruit, dry wood, dry soil, green grapes and juicy plums. Mouthfeel is crisp, dry, tart and light bodied. Finish is sour and tart with lemon juice, grapefruit juice, hay, dry soil, green grapes, mandarin oranges and lemon zest. Nothing too complex, just fine refreshing stuff!

Jester King Das Wunderkind A- pour hazy cider color with a nice fizzy looking head. The appearance reminds me of a fuzzy peach or something. Quite a bit of lacing sticking to the glass. S- tart peaches and lemons with some barnyard funk and straw aromas. It smells very tart. T- Surprisingly it's nowhere near as tart as the aromas would have you believe. Slight lemon tartness up front with straw and funk again and a hint of white pepper and bitterness on the finish. Very mellow, subtle flavors but still tasty. M- makes my tongue fuzzy. Wanted a bit more carbonation. Still light and mellow. O- Honestly I was expecting more sour flavors, but I guess it's a Saison not a sour. This would be Le Petit Prince's big brother. Moderately complex, highly drinkable. Needs more carbonation though. Not bad. -

Tasted at Funk N Sour Festival at Jester King Craft Brewery. I think the sour beers are just not to my liking. Smelled of cat pee. The sour overwhelmed any other flavors. No body to speak of.

Bottle shared on the bus. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a medium white fluffy head. A sour barrel nose with some citrus. A sweet easygoing base with funky notes, oak, vinous flavors, lots of citrus. Very interesting and good.

Bottle thanks to Dave. Pours a cloudy yellow with no head. The aroma is a strong funk and citrus. Thin mouthfeel with a crisp funk and tart with very nice sour finish. Easy to drink a very impressive sour from Jester King.
