Low boost farmhouse. These guys could learn some things from CIB. Pours a cloudy light orange, small head. Aromas of some lactic sourness, wheaty. Not detecting any whiskey, and that’s good. Taste is low boost, slightly sour, very low carbonation. Completely chuggable. Finishes pretty dry. Low boost. ):(

S: Lots of musk, citrus, lemongrass, wood, bready yeast and bandyard funk. P: Very murky orange with a shade of brown, with a two-three finger head appears but dissolves within 30 seconds leaving a thick lace around the glass. T: Lemon esters, tropical fruits, lemon peel with a kiss of sourness, a hint of oak with some grapes and a wine taste to it. Green apples, dough and some earthiness appears also make a short appearance in this beer. M: Light body and highly carbonated but not overwhelming. O: Nice stuff.

Bottle. Hazy gold with a 2 finger white head. Aroma is citrus, wild yeast and a little oak. Taste is tart and funky with strong lemon and orange notes. As you adjust to the tartness the citrus continues to dominate but Brett, lacto and woody notes creep in. Dry thin palate that disappears from the mouth almost immediately. This is the best sour I've had in a while.

From backlog. Pale orange with medium floaty head. Lemony brettness on the nose. Taste is sour with some tartness. Medium body for the ABV and low carbo. While I’ve enjoyed other low ABV Jester Kings this doesn’t quite match up to other similar examples out there.

Sampled at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013 - Day 2, Session 2. Pours lightly hazy gold with a fine, white cream head. The aroma holds brett and dry, doughy pale malts. Light to medium sweet flavor with tangy grapefruit, melon and mildly funky brett. Light bodied with average carbonation. Very clean on the finish thanks to brett, with notes of tangerine and grapefruit. Very nice drinker.

Dense Cloudy gold. Smells sour & brett lemon. Definitely wild. Reminds me of Brux. More acidic and sharp. It’s still easy to drink though but the alcohol is too low. Mild barrel.

25-OCT-2013, bottle @Ulkløbben meeting, @Morten. Very hazy yellow/amber with lasting low yellow head. Wonder fruit aroma with peach but also funk and Whisky!. Taste the same. More bitter with hops, grape fruit, pine. Quite creamy for 4,5% with soft carbonation. Very nice drink.

Bomber. Good not great, but very solid for a 4.5% ABV brew. Pours an opaque light orange with light head. Smell has considerable funky yeast and bugs -- right up my alley -- plus a hint of whiskey. Taste doesn’t quite deliver on that promise, more of a light saison with a moderate funk and sour but nothing serious -- not a ton of flavor here. A bit watery and pretty thin. This would be a good noon beer on a hot Saturday, drinking it after a DIPA on a chilly autumn night was probably the wrong idea -- oh well. I’ll probably pick up another one and try to do it right next time.
