Jester King Das Wunderkind A- pour hazy cider color with a nice fizzy looking head. The appearance reminds me of a fuzzy peach or something. Quite a bit of lacing sticking to the glass. S- tart peaches and lemons with some barnyard funk and straw aromas. It smells very tart. T- Surprisingly it's nowhere near as tart as the aromas would have you believe. Slight lemon tartness up front with straw and funk again and a hint of white pepper and bitterness on the finish. Very mellow, subtle flavors but still tasty. M- makes my tongue fuzzy. Wanted a bit more carbonation. Still light and mellow. O- Honestly I was expecting more sour flavors, but I guess it's a Saison not a sour. This would be Le Petit Prince's big brother. Moderately complex, highly drinkable. Needs more carbonation though. Not bad. -

UPDATED: NOV 29, 2015 750 mL bottle, March 2013, blend 4, drunk 11/28/15.
Clear, coppery blonde color with a moderate amount of white head that sits at cover.
Light, mild brett, floral hops somehow still apparent. Minor oxidation and light lactic acid. Cream of wheat and vanilla. No alcohol or flaws.
Heavy, heavy bile flavor, way too much autolysis. Sharp, flabby and lightly saccharine-like. Obviously sat too long, though its still nicely carbonated. Will definitely try again soon w a fresh batch.

Draught, almost no head, mellow yeasty aroma with some fruit and just a funky hint, flowery flavor, medium shrubby bitterness and a bit of vinegary sourness that becomes stronger, bitter but not too hoppy. Good.

Hazy hay hued with a thin foamy white head. Huge meaty and peppery nose, funky saison and grassy tones. Great peppery and blonde malty flavor with a bit of cured meat and earthy funk. Lovely.
