4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at Churchkey for CBC. Pours a full haze glowing orange. Medium foam. Nose is fresh cedar, spot on, resinous, spicy, black pepper. Taste is bitter, spicy, big cedar spice, resin, sap. Long, bitter, sappy finish like Cigar Cigar Humidor Jai Alai. Really delicious. Love that cigar box character.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Batch #2, Jan 2013 – Pours cloudy light gold with a huge, fluffy white head and leaves tons of lacing. Smells like fresh-cut cedar. Savory, woody, funky, a little fruity, bready, slight salt character. Taste is much the same, funk, a little sweetness, strong wood notes, finishes with lingering cedar. Medium-bodied and fairly dry, this would be really nice to have on a warm summer night.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from Hopper. Thanks man! Shared at a going away party for a pretty cool guy. Pour is a very hazy light orange, with a nice white head that lasts. Not a ton of lacing though. Aroma is pure grapefruit, with the flavor much the same. Huge resiny grapefruit pith, astringent on the finish, but not really in a bad way. I do get some damp funky brett in the front palate. I could drink a ton of this. Exceedingly refreshing, with the wood and hops really blending together nicely to become greater than the sum. Highly carbonated, gushed a bit when opened (lost about 3 oz). All in all, one of my favorites from this brewery!

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle courtesy Fratto. Pours a hazy orange color with a huge foamy head. Aroma is cedary notes, dry bath powder and pepper. Lemony nose. Aroma is soapy, huge pepper flavor with a dry flavor from the Brett. Woody and aged. Interesting but I wouldn’t drink it again.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: MAR 11, 2013 750 ml bottle. Poured into a tulip. It’s a hazy golden orange color. Medium sized foamy head. The aroma has loads of citrus and fruit then the Brett shows itself. The hops and Brett seem to work very well. The taste has a fairly big malty sweetness along with big doses of fruity hops. Right now the Brett isn’t too strong, but what it adds is just the right amount of character to go along with the hops. That should change in time as it ages. It is somewhat sweet and like a Double IPA of sorts with the additions of Brett and cedar. I like it, except for it’s sweetness.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle courtesy of "AKfaust". Colour...cloudy gold with a massively thick head! Nose...a mass of mashed hops and cedar shakes with a bit o the barnyard to boot! Palate...very cedary with massive hops that lean to the grapefruit infused cedar plank side. There’s a distinct funk but its nit overpowering. This is a delight and my gut will be very clean soon!
