A- black with 2-3 finger caramel head.
T- Tart cherries, currants, blackberries, plum, leather, slight balsamic sweetness. Roasted coffee and chocolate finish.
M- slightly sticky, moderate carbonation. Nice lingering stout aftertaste.
O- Excellent! Think chocolate covered cherries.

5 ounce pour at the Jester King brewery. Black appearance, brown head, visible bubbles. Smells like bright coffee, sour, a little acidic, wood, semi sweetened chocolate, appealing and complex... lots of stuff in the nose to unpackage. Tastes like dark roasted oats, wood, barnyard wet hay, sour, baker's chocolate. Medium bodied mouthfeel, smooth. Overall a dynamic brew that has plenty of parts to pick apart and taste out. This is a fun beer to taste with friends and compare impressions on the flavor aspects. They meld the stout and sour characteristics nicely.

Pours rich black. Light tan head. Smell is chocolate and light sour yeast. Smells like an old bottled stout past its prime. Taste is pretty tart and light on the roast malt flavor compared to how it looks. Pretty tart but not overly funky flavor.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color ale with a large dark brown foamy head with light retention Aroma of sour tart notes with light roasted malt notes that are also perceptible. Taste is also dominated by tart and sour notes with light acidic notes and some light dry roasted malt with light vinous notes. Body is quite full for style with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Pretty enjoyable even though soured stout are not something I look for on a regular basis.

Bottled. Pours clear deep brown with a small, fair lacing, beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, wood and barnyard. Sweet flavor that ends up tart and bitter. medium bodied, oily texture and soft carb. An interesting brew.

Bottle received in trade. Batch 1 (if there are more than one). Thank you Jeffrey (non-RB)! Big gusher! Pours murky black with a fizzy blackish mocha head that quickly dissipates without leving much trace I the glass. Smell is sour and tannic with roasted malts, bitter chocolate, red wine vinegar, moist wood, moist soil, hay, lemon juice, liquorice root, mushrooms, dark roast coffee, lemon zest and leather. Taste is sour, slightly malty and heavy tannic with roasted malts, lemon juice, red wine vinegar, bitter chocolate, liquorice root, Dark roast coffee, lemon zest, moist soil, leather, hay, barnyard, raisins, prunes, burnt wood and burnt caramel. Mouthfeel is round, tart, slightly dry and medium bodied. Finish is sour and tannic with roasted malts, raisins, bitter chocolate, burnt wood, dark roast coffee, hay, barnyard, lemon juice an red wine vinegar. Solid sour stout nicly balanced between the roast and the acidity.

Bottle thanks to Jeremy. Pours a thick and relatively low carbonated black beer with a very short tan head. Some is strung of roast malt, some fruity berries. Taste is very tart followed by a slight smoky today malt and dried fruit. Very unique, not sure if i Love it but it’s interesting.
