COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’re pleased to announce the release of our latest beer – Le Petit Prince Farmhouse Table Beer. Le Petit Prince is a 2.9% ABV farmhouse table beer brewed with pilsner malt, two row malt, pale malt, pale malted wheat, a touch of Caramunich and acidulated malt, lots of Czech Saaz, East Kent Golding and/or other hops (depending on availability) and farmhouse yeast. This is a beer we’ve been excited about for quite some time now, as we believe that it’s a clear, simple expression of the delicate, delightful interplay between noble hops and farmhouse yeast.

Pours a slightly cloudy lemony yellow. Thin soapy head. Nice aroma of piney hops. Clean straight forward malt with an aftertaste of sweet orange rind. Overall, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this brew but it does have a nice resemblance, flavor wise, to the continental pilsners. I’m impressed! such flavor and complexity for a low-alcohol brew.

Bottle, 2.9%. Weak fruity aroma, nice dustiness, seems sweet and citric. Cloudy yellow colour. Stable chalk white head. Good funky flavour with a nice Bretty citrus note. Low bitterness. Funky but clean, if that makes sense. Refreshing. A subtle and good beer.

Bottle. Pours hazy pale straw with stable white head. Clear aroma of yeast, hops and citrus. Mild, vinous flavour with notes of hops, citrus, yeast and coriander (how come?!). Mildly rubberlike and watery mouthfeel. More interesting than good. Please, draw me a pint. A different one, maybe?

750 ml bottle. Served in a tulip-like glass, the beer pours a hazy straw gold color with an inch and a half white head (after a slow pour). Head retention is excellent, and there’s a lot of lacing. The brew smells like wheat/grainy malt, yeast, peppery spice, grassy hops, and some lemon peel. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, there’s some nice light tartness in this brew, along with the grainy/yeasty flavors. Mouthfeel/body is light, it’s easy to drink and quite refreshing. It’s also well carbonated. I’d certainly buy this again in the future. $7.99 a bottle.

Bottle from Ølhandleriet, enjoyed march 9th 2013. Hazy yellow body, nice white head. Aroma is grassy with yeast and citrus peels. Taste is spicy yeast, mandarin, sour notes and fresh hops. Clean bitterness, massive fruitness. At 2,9% it’s ano-brainer, this would be my preferred session beer if it was only a bit more availible. Just awesome!

Draft. Pours golden with small white head. Aroma of yeast and grassy hops. Light body with malt flavors upfront, some barnyard notes, and a slightly bitter finish.

Very light, yeasty saison. Tastes a little watered down but pleasant due to the light ABV very smooth drinking....... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sample at Hay Merchant. Pours a hazy pale amber color with a medium thin off-white head that dissipates steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of funky fruit and yeast. Light-bodied with flavors of tart fruit, wheat and spicy yeast. The finish is tart with a short fruity aftertaste. Decent overall.

Very pale golden colored pour. Small white head with some lacing. Malty aroma. Some pepper and a hint of hops. Taste is a muted bitter/malt flavor. Nice sessionable beer.

Bottle. 5/17/13. Pours pale green-gold with a thin white head. Aroma is yeast, bread, earth, citrus, some skunk. Taste is bready, yeast, citrus, slightly funky. Mouth feel is full-bodied. Almost reminds me of a soda. No lacing. Medium carbonation. No alcohol taste; expected. Nice flavors; tasty. But I don’t get the point of a beer this low in ABV.
