COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mad Meg is simple in terms of ingredients with French pilsner malt, wheat, a touch of caramunich and acidulated malt, Czech Saaz hops and our farmhouse yeast. It is golden colored and quite strong at over 9% ABV. The palate intertwines delicate farmhouse esters with earthy, spicy hops and clean malt flavors.

Cloudy orange with ample, sticky eggshell colored foam. Aromas of apricot, banana, clove, black pepper, booze, and pine. The flavor is earthy and sweet with a bit of peppery spice; orange danish, lightly toasty with some caramel. Full bodied with mellow feeling carbonation and the palate holds up well; the finish is semi-sweet and bready with citrus and caramel. Itís an awesome, delicious farmhouse ale.

Hazy yellow/ sunlight gold pour, 3 finger+ billowy white head. Nose is yeast, apples, and very lightly roasted grain. Bitter. Middle is effervescent carbonation, funky yeast, herbal coating of the tongue. Finish is dry and bitter. Have not matched this with food yet, but what a lovely sipper.

Bottle shared. Pours cloudy copper with a generous off-white head. Aroma is wood, raisin, plums, caramel, some funk and leather. Taste is moderate bitter and some malty sweetness. Pretty complex. Full bodied.

750 from Whole Foods Plymouth Meeting Pours turbid bright orangy-gold with 2-finger fluffy white head. Nose is yeasty candi sugary malt, funk, hopcitrus, orange marmalade, dry florals. Tastes semi-sweet, with notes of florals, marmalade, dry hops, citrus, and a smooth finish. Not funky enough, but not bad.

Probably one of my least favorite JK offerings. Something about this beer just doesnít really do it for me. I get a very strong yeast presence, and it almost tastes a little boozy for some reason. Still drinkable, but Iíll definitely take something else anytime.

Hay Merchant, Houston tap: Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is floral and a bit herbal, with some yeasty notes. Alcohol is well-covered. While drinking this, I would not have guessed it was this heavy. A little sweet. Somewhat spicy. A little dry bitterness in the finish. This was good, but for my first Jester King I wasnít blown away.

Big, funky aroma with some tartness. Light body, with a lively mouthfeel. Doesnít drink like a 9% beer... a nice saison like spiciness at the finish.

Pours a hazy dark orange with a fluffy white head. Very nice and funky aroma, grassy and peppery, a little brett, nice bright tropical fruit notes like pineapple, and a nice musty sort of barnyard character. Lots of wet grass and barnyard funk on the taste, tropical and citrus fruits, and a light refreshing brett character. Waaaayyy too easy drinking and light to be 9%.

A hazy golden yellow with a frizzy and lingering white head. The hops and citrus hit the nose, the notes are on the front of the palate. The linger is towards the back and a bit bitter. The body is absent and quite frankly this beer barely makes it a 3.2. Decent but overrated ---Rated via Beer Buddy
