COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mad Meg is simple in terms of ingredients with French pilsner malt, wheat, a touch of caramunich and acidulated malt, Czech Saaz hops and our farmhouse yeast. It is golden colored and quite strong at over 9% ABV. The palate intertwines delicate farmhouse esters with earthy, spicy hops and clean malt flavors.

Reddish amber color with a large off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus fruit, wheat malts, burnt toffee, grass, spicy yeast, and a bit of floral hops. Taste of citrus, caramel malts, wheat malts, bitter grassiness, and a lightly bitter finish.

Pours orange amber hazey with a huge creamy foamy white almost sandy head. The aroma brings sweet springy clean hops and bready notes. The flavor brings farmhouse yeast and the Saaz hops bitter and contrasting with boozy syrupy malts not working very well.

Bottle @ Borefts 2012. The pour’s deep amber with a small head. The nose is funky belgian yeast, some brett and lemon. The taste is sweet barnyard yeast, more tart lemon peel, some peach. Light vinous notes. Sweet esters. Smooth, supple. OK, but not Jester King’s best.
