Another fine beer from Jester king. Not my favorite style, but the spices and hops hide the alcohol well.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at the Beer Temple Amsterdam. Cloudy amber pour. Minor head, no lacing. Sour, uninspiring aroma. Taste much better. Would say more but ran out of beer! Rather expensive here in Holland at 20 Euros a bottle and probably not worth it, but nice to taste.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
750ml from the Rare Beer Club. Honeyed pour, orange to copper, with a healthy carbonation and a slightly oily looking body. Nose of pert noble hops, considerable esters, and some candied malts. Mouthfeel a bit slick and even waxy in places, though the carbonation and somewhat dry finish relieves this impression a bit. To me, there was slightly too much yeast and malty sweetness for the beer to be truly balanced; I’d wanted more dry flavors, though others would surely find just the opposite to be the case. Still and all, a fairly enjoyable brew from JK.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
750 ml bottle
Pours a hazy orangish gold capped by a bright white two and half finger head with a large amount of lacing present as the head recedes, great retention. This brew is extremely well-carbonated no extra effort will be needed in achieving an adequate head on the pour. The nose has fruit, floral, and grassy notes, and the distinctive smell of farmhouse yeast.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Wow. A delicious Belgian style beer. One of the few times an American brewer nailed this difficult style. Aroma was big and full. Applesauce, pear, and melon with that farmhouse funk. Pour was a beautiful cloudy gold with a two finger white head. Taste was very sweet and tasty. The big light fruit flavors filled the mouth. Apple and pear were dominant, with bubblegum and yeast coming out more as the beer warmed. The beer was a tad too sweet halfway through the glass, but the nice yeasty funk and decent carbonation distracted you from it. All in all a great beer
