Pours nicely carbonated with a large head and light copper body. Smells and tastes of fresh lemon and grapefruit flesh with light wheat backdrop. Perfect summer beer, like a mix between a US ipa and a craft lager. Super drinkable and really tasty, excellent stuff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Now this is the type of beer you can drink on a sweltering Texas day right after mowing your acreage and feeling like you deserve a light airy reward. Floral aroma with hints of raspberry. Unfiltered wheat with a delightfully refreshing citrus, mildly yeasty taste. A "close your eyes and smile" sort of beer! Thank you again, jester king! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JUL 29, 2011 On tap....pours a cloudy light orange with rich, sticky white head. Aroma is extremely pleasant, notes of floral, citrus, farmhouse, pine. Flavor has a complex but yet very nice balance of lemon peel, pine, light wheat malt and very subtle dusty farmhouse with a pleasant light tart bitter in the finish. Mouthfeel is light body with soft, high fizzy carbonation. Overall, very tasty, easy drinking, very refreshing brew!

Keep buying and liking this. Along with my repetitive "I don’t much care for stouts" will now add "wheat beers generally don’t do anything for me anymore". That said, this lacks the yeast strains that I know find not so amusing and replaced it with one that has a much drier and more "refined" finish. I want to get another bottle or a few RIGHT NOW. Good stuff. Yeehaw for collaborations that work like this. Not BEST BEER EVER, but I sure do like the taste and keep wanting more.

Draft at GABF. Pours a lightly hazed gold with white head. Nose is really nice, lots of citrusy hops and a hint of bready malts. Spicy and floral, really fresh. On tasting, it’s superb. Light bodied, crisp and fully flavored. Plenty of malt to back up the big dosing of hops. Clean fermentation and just a delightful beer. Fantastic!

Bottle
Pours a lush cheddar orange with a nose of grapefruit, pine and orange peel. Flavor is, given the ABV, a robust grapefruit and orange. Slippery mouthfeel. Excellent. Take it to every party and forsake BMC.

Pours a gold, lightly hazed .. foam was good, lacing better .. . light wheat, light grain, light citrus and light bitterness .. . a damn fine session brew but not awfully complex or full, but as the name suggests, made for drinking out in the texas heat.. a very enjoyable collaboration .. . I went to a fancy french restaurant called "Deja Vu." The headwaiter said, "Don’t I know you?"

Draught. Beautiful pour. Cloudy bright orange with a thin head that laces nicely. Aroma is all citrus, mostly tangerine. Really interesting palate. Great body with some prickly spiciness and a bone dry finish. Immensely refreshing balance of sweet, spice, and a firm orange-peel bitterness.

Bottle. Good balance. Sweet tropical fruits... citrus... bitter finish. Not that complex. Light without being thin. Very quaffable.

Poured at first a semi-clear yelllow in colour, but when the copious amounts of dregd were added towards the end of the bottle, it looked like orange juice!! Great mouthfeel and very, very drinkable. And I just love that added bonus of TONS of yeast at the end- yummy!!
