This variation on an imperial oatmeal stout, brewed in collaboration with Mikkeller, contains a healthy dose of authentic Kopi Luwak coffee (a.k.a. “weasel coffee”), along with other Vietnamese coffees, ground chipotle pepper. and a touch of smoked malt.

From bottle @ Borefts 2012. Black and opague. Maple syrup and coffee in the aroma. The beer is hardly carbonated, Thick fluid with chocolate, coffee, maple syrup. Sweet but fairly complex. Alcoholic.

Bottle @ BBF 12. Pour pitch black, with no head. Aroma of soy, slight coffee, and some faint hints of spices, slight chocolate. The taste is a little bitter, with some (salty(?)) notes. Average body, with a flat carbonation. (could have gotten more out of the weasel-coffee imo.

Bottle pour at Borefts 2012. Deep brown/black with virtually no head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, vanilla, dark fruits. Slightly slick mouthfeel, smooth on the palate with a slightly spicy finish. Taste is coffee, vanilla, bourbon.

From bottle @ Borefts 2012. The pour’s deep brown with no head. The aroma’s of sweet chocolate fudge, cocoa, brioche bread and mild vanilla. The taste is of soft espresso, more vanilla and plenty of chocolate. Light roasted malt on the finish. Very smooth, silky mouthfeel. Overall, a great imperial stout. Top work!

Bottle at Borefts 2012, Bodegraven. Pours oily black with a weak, tan head. Great barrel character coming through on the nose, some dark chocolate. Medium sweet flavor, plenty of scorched wood, mocha. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Moderately warming to finish, some dark fruit hints, a bit of raisins, dirt, modest roast, subtle alcohol. Very good stuff. Rich.

at BBF 12 smells heavy, syrup,.. nice chocolat taste, but not much gass witch would prob make it better. very heavy mouthfeel

Bottled. Pitch black coloured. Dense brown head. Aroma: roast, alcohol, cocoa, liqourice, cofffee. Flavour. Roast, chocolate, cocoa, chili, coffee. Medium to full bodied. Ends Roasted bitter with a light chili bite and a touch of smoke.

From tap at Borefts. Pours pitch black with no lasting head. Aroma is smooth coffee, roasted malty and chocolate. Smooth roasted dense chocolate malty, bitter and light herbal coffee. Roasted dark malty finish.
