4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
From bottle @ Borefts 2012. The pour’s deep brown with no head. The aroma’s of sweet chocolate fudge, cocoa, brioche bread and mild vanilla. The taste is of soft espresso, more vanilla and plenty of chocolate. Light roasted malt on the finish. Very smooth, silky mouthfeel. Overall, a great imperial stout. Top work!

Bottle at Borefts 2012, Bodegraven. Pours oily black with a weak, tan head. Great barrel character coming through on the nose, some dark chocolate. Medium sweet flavor, plenty of scorched wood, mocha. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Moderately warming to finish, some dark fruit hints, a bit of raisins, dirt, modest roast, subtle alcohol. Very good stuff. Rich.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From the bottle @Borefts fest 2012.
Pours hazy dark color w no head, but it might be because the bottle was opened for a while.
Aroma is very intense, mostly those silky oatmeal notes, hints of roasted barley as well.
Taste is strange mix of usual oatmeal stouts with some strange interesting notes entwined.
Aftertaste is a punch of bitterness and hot spicies!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml. bottle sampled @ Borefts 2012. Black with no head. Smells like mocha, chocolate, cocoa butter, touch vinous, light roast. Taste is sweet mocha, chocolate, medium milk chocolate, lightly creamy, not really getting weasel coffee, cocoa with rather light chili in the back - more stout than impy stout bodied
