UPDATED: JUN 16, 2013 One of my favorite beesr. A mocha coffee nose with a thinner but sustained head. A noticeable coffee flavor up front followed by rich malts. After it goes down a light chipotle sizzle can be felt on the tongue. Amazing palate. Must be tried- preferably on tap at the brewery, but bottles suffice.

Pours pitch black with a small tan ring. Smells strongly of coffee. Taste is coffee, coffee, and coffee with a little bit of smoke. Full-bodied with a smooth texture and very soft mouth-carbonation, Jester King/Mikkeller Weasel Rodeo finishes with a subtle booziness.

Bottle at Borefts BeerFest 2012. Pitch black - brown edges. Oiley thick body, fruity, ok hoppy, high malty, coffee, chocooate, dark chocolate, light light chili bite, fullbodied, light smokey. Lovely.

A strong coffee nose, with hints of chocolate and dark fruit. A flat opaque black pour with a mostly diminishing tan head and no lacing. The taste is strong bitter coffee with hints of chocolate, dark fruit sweetness and smoke. There is a bit of alcohol in the finish and a pleasingly slight peppery aftertaste. Full boddied with flat carbonation. Overall, this a rich complex multilayered stout that is worth sampleing again and again!

750 ml bottle into the trusty and eponymous Jester King snifter. Black with a tan, fine head. Smells of whiskey, plum, well-roasted coffee, smoked barley, cinnamon, salted caramel. Taste is quite robust. The coffee is more prevalent than others note, but it’s back seat to the whiskey, dark chocolate, sweet and spicy pepper, fig, light floral hops. The chipotle heat has accumulated by the end of the first 3 oz. Barrel treatment has done great things for an already great beer. Best Jester King effort yet!

Dark, dark brown pour, nice chocolate brown head. Rich coffee aromas give way to a subtle chili spice and roasted malt with tones of dark chocolate. Flavor is sweet up front, spice at the end and in the middle loads of rich chocolate, roast and coffee. Really nice.

Jester King Weasel Rodeo Pours dark brown into black in a snifter. 1/2 finger beautiful golden tan head that fades into a thin ring on the outside of the glass quickly. Aromas are of intense dark chocolate, bit of chocolate sweetness, and a hint of smoke and chocolate liqueur and khalua. Taste- semi sweet chocolate, strong coffee flavor but with a very mild bitterness. Bit of a dark fruit up front. Tiny bit of smokeyness on the finish, probably the chipotle. Mouthfeel- coats the tongue nicely, it's not thick or viscous by any means but sticky. Little carbonation but not flat, small happy bubbles. The chipotle and alcohol heat sit nicely at the back of the throat. O- super smooth, chocolatey, coffee without bitterness, and warming. Damn fine beer. Might have to pick another one up. Buy again. -

Caramel coffee aroma. Pours thick and black with minimal dark tan head. Obviously a lot of coffee in the flavor. Very smooth and rich. A little thinner mouthfeel than the color and flavor would indicate. Malty with very little bitterness. Very good.

Opaque black color with a small, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, cocoa, smokey chipotle, some oatmeal, and a bit of alcohol. Taste of oatmeal, roasted malts, burnt wood, coffee, smoke, and a bit of chipotle heat in the finish. Really nice.
