On cask at Petrol Station. Pours a very dark brown with a small tan hea that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is coffee pepper and smoke. Thin mouthfeel with a strong coffee and roast with nice boozy smoke finish. Alcohol present but not overpowering. A very good imperial stout from Jester King.

Bottle shared by b3shine. Poured a dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted chocolate, coffee, hot spice and alcohol aroma. Medium to heavy toasted dark chocolate and spice malt flavor with a medium to heavy sweet and spice finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a solid beer.

750 ml bottle shared by b3shine. Pours a dark cola brown color with a thin off white film. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, great coffee notes, chocolate, chipotle peppers, mild smokey character, everything I get is good, my only knock on this is the lack of carbonation, nothing really pops, more carbonation makes this a 4 for sure.

750ml bottle, thanks to b3shine for sharing. Bottle is labeled 10.01%. Very dark brown color. Very small ring of light brown bubbly head. Couple dots of lace. Awesome coffee in the nose. Questionable production methods or not, Kopi Luwak does magic for my nose. In the flavor, great kopi luwak coffee, and a nice light bit of chipotle pepper at the back end. Good light smokiness is evident throughout the whole thing. Well-blended with the rest of the aroma. Good roast malt, and dark chocolate. Hint of dark fruit. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, chewy, lighter carbonation. Very light carbonation. Seems to be an issue with my fellow raters. Doesn’t bother me too much, though. Moderate to bigger bitter taste, light alcohol warmth, light sweet. Tasty, interesting, impressive stuff.

750 ml bottle to snifter (shared with the group; thanks DuffMan). Looks solid; a little under carbonated though. A slightly translucent dark cola with bubbly tan lacing. Smells good; dark malt and coffee with a touch of chipotle. Tastes like it smells, but not as rich or balanced. Solid on the palate. Good, not great; a bit more carbonation would definitely help this beer out.

Pours oily black color. Barely any carbonation but had a small khaki head. Aroma of chilis, bitter coffee , smoked malt, and chocolate. Taste is similar with slight heat and dryness on the end. Overall quite thin due to lack of carbonation. Tastes pretty good though ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a very black oil like color with the same viscosity. Coffee, chocolate, and more coffee on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with just a hint of heat from the chipotle peppers. The peppers really don’t play a whole lot in the flavor which is nice, just gives it an interesting finish.

Poured dark black from the bottle with aromas of fresh pressed coffee, grounds, chocolate, roast, light bourbon and some light pepper. Flavors followed suit a mixture of all the aromas a light boozy aftertaste but a solid beer none the less.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with light dry coffee, black chocolate and some very subtle peppers notes. Taste is also a mix of peppers, dry coffee with some black chocolates and some dry coffee notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very enjoyable stout with plenty of flavours that are well balanced. I think a bit more pronounced peppers notes would have made things more interesting.
