3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 jackl (2513) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 2, 2012
From bottle @ Borefts 2012. The pour’s deep brown with no head whatsoever. The nose is big time whiskey, strong wood, sugar and light vanilla. Boozy sweetness. The taste is much the same, with strong wood, shocks of vanilla bean and roasted chocolate malts. Nice. Big body, oily. Overall, a pretty good imperial stout. I just think that the whiskey dominates this beer a bit too much. It’s hard to discern more subtle flavors.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 77ships (2154) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - OCT 2, 2012
750 ml. bottle sampled @ Borefts 2012 - clearly better than the regular Weasel Rodea - the whiskey completes it - dark brown black with little mocha head - sweet mocha, vinous coffee, coconut + vanilla nose, light roast - sweet mocha, coconut and vanilla flavour, bitter lightly vinous coffee, tad berries. cocoa powder, some warming chili in the back and light wood and touch of whiskey - fuller, richer, nice full stout not impy body - neat stuff
4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 crosamich (430) - Naples, Florida, USA - OCT 1, 2012
I like this better at the onset. A great chili beer but with each sip the chipotle starts to take overpower the coffee and whisky notes. they hold their own though. Nice creamy & smooth mouthfeel. Subtle character for the individual components. Now I need to find a regular Rodeo to compare.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Iphonephan (1193) - Virginia, USA - SEP 30, 2012
Poured from a 75 cl bottle at Borefts beer festival, de Molen, day two. Pours almost black with a thin tan head. SImilar to the non barrel aged version - chocolate, coffed and chili - but with a soft oak overlay. Chili is more pronounced.
