Bottle to glass. Batch 12. Pour is a light, pale yellow. Champagne like head. Aroma is tart, funky. Hints of Apple cider vinegar, fresh fruit and grass / hay. Taste is tart, moderate salinity, fresh cut green apples. Finishes bitter, with the hops coming through with grass an earthy notes. Mmm. Palate is light body, medium carbonation. My second jester king beer, and I’m really liking them so far!

Sampled via bottle at WTWBA 2014 in Minneapolis. Hazy yellow pour. Soft sour, grass, lemon in this. This was good, but not great for me.

Pours a gold with lots of head. Not as much aroma as others. Very juice like mouth feel. Taste is a little hoppy. Sweet. Hops are the finish. Not bad.

Tap at CBC 2014. Beer in the glass deep golden, nice head. Fruity-sourish aroma. Starts malty-sourish, some lemon notes, also some salty hints. Finish dry-malty, mild sourish. Quite drinkable. Nice!

Keg at the Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014, red session. 03/05/2014. Pale yelllow straw coloured pour, hazed with anice lasting fluffy white head. Aroma is floral, lemon, mobel hops, some cheese. Light funk on the nose as well. Flavour is crisp lemon rind, zesty, earthy straw. Palate is crisp and drying, zingy. Bone dry finish with light acid.

Batch 12, Nov 18 2013. This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a light hazy yellow to golden haziness with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving a weird somewhat clingy lacing that stuck at the top of the beer but slid for the rest of it. The smell had a light sour lemon to light orange. There’s a decent light grassy spice trying to make an appearance but stayed subdued for the most part. The taste was somewhat sweet but had a decent spice and wasn’t as sour as expected. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was somewhat there but tries to hide itself for the most part. Overall, definitely one of the more balanced sour/wild ales that I could have again.
