COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Earthy noble hops and rustic farmhouse yeast create an elegant balance in this dry and drinkable golden ale. Naturally carbonated through re-fermentation in the bottle.

Large but short lasting white head on a solid cloudy straw body. Yeast on the nose not huge on the hops in the taste but very drinkable

Attempts to gush, but waiting a bit solves that. Medium white head. Yellow body made hazy by visible small particles. Earthy oily fruity aroma with herbal notes. Dryish earthy oily resiny taste with mealy herbal fruity notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, slightly fizzy mouthfeel. Dryish resiny oily earthy aftertaste with dusty minty herbal notes. Nice, drinkable, full of character, and rather unusual. It’s realy the hoppy, minty aroma on top of a mealy, earthy farmhouse base that defines the beer. (0.65l bottle, from Kihoskh, Copenhagen.)

A bit odd. Orange coloured and unclear. Has a white head, medium duration. Hoppy aroma with fruity notes too. FLavor starts medium sweet, acid too. Moderate bitter finish.

My Bottom Line :
This very dry and effervescent Belgian-style Ale showcases doughy yeast and earthy hops with their herbal angles.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A sheet of foam covers the misty amber-hued golden.
-The earthy hop bitterness is prominent.
-There is lots of yeast in the bottle. Had to be careful upon pouring the second glass.
-Mild orange fruitiness appears midway.
-Although lots of fun, this is not a very memorable brew.

Bottle.

750ml bottle, batch 9, slight cloudy honey gold hue, with a frothy white head, nice ripe apple, apple sauce yeast fruity esters in the nose, with some doughy, faint barnyard, funk, floral earthy leafy, grassy hop notes, with some citrus peel, spicy accents in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, spritzy fruity, doughy, bready, pale, pilsener malt, flowery citrus, tobacco, leafy, herbal earthy hop character, with a faint lemon pie crust, cracker undertone, leading towards a yeasty, doughy, earthy green pale, pilsener maltiness, dry hop bitterness finish.

Clear golden color, and a nice head. Bottle fermented, so pour gently. Not a huge hop finish... earthy is a good description.

Très belle robe, très belle mousse consistante et qui tient. La bière en elle même n’a pas une longueur en bouche hallucinante malgré les quelques pointes houblonnées qui restent en fin de bouche.

Bottle from trade but I forget who. Thanks! Labeled Batch #9/10, APR 2014. Pours a hazy orange gold with a nice creamy white head. Aroma if orange rinds, funky yeast, lemon peel, apples, and some spice. Flavor is citrus up front with and interesting hop bite and lingering spicy funky yeast to finish. Light bodied and lots of carbonation. Funk is very much on the front end and all the way through. Not bad.

Clear golden coloured body with a large, four centimetre tall soapy head that leaves an ugly lace. Aroma of dank hops, a good yeast strain, some pepper, coriander seed, a touch of honey and sweetness and a bit of curacao. Medium-bodied; Assertive yeast up front with a grassy and herbal character combined with a very mellow maltiness with not much body and a dry finish and no sweetness at all, and hardly any hops. Aftertaste shows the slightest bit of hops, but mostly a grassy and herbal character with some very light malt and most of the flavours between dry hay and the spicey yeast complexities. Overall, a decent beer - but that’s it. This shouldn’t be in this category - perhaps a saison, but after spending more than a week in Belgium drinking the fine beer there, this simply isn’t a belgian ale at all nor can it compare with them. I tried this fresh and it simply isn’t even close to the hype that it shows online. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Central Market in Houston, Texas on 10-August-2013 for US$8.99 sampled at home in Washington on 23-August-2013. Batch #9/10 from April 2013
