Murky reddish brown with a thin off white head that fades to a ring. Aroma is sweet and sour cherry, apple, wood, and faint vinegar. Taste is very tart cherry, lactic, wood, and some funk. Very dry palate. Really nice sour.

My Bottom Line:
Balsamic vinegar and sour cherry fruitiness meet bready yeast and green wood in this moderately tart Flanders Red-like brew.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam sits atop the pale mahogany.
-Green pepper allusions in the aroma add to the curiosity and, somehow, never get bothersome.
-All flavors are clearly united, cohesive.
-The finish is tart but also earthy.
-Drinkability is relatively high for this type of acidic brew.

Bottle.

Cask - Barrel and sour cherry with balsamic. Cloudy red brown with no head. Light dark sugar sourness, with some light cherries. Dark fruit and malts show up a bit as well. Not bad, but I would have liked a bit more cherry tartness.

The beer is dark amber with some crimson highlights. the aroma brings a bouquet of funk, oak, sour cherries, yeast. Beautiful flavor. Simply delicious. Lots of funk and cherry flavor with a lovely sour, puckering finish. Medium bodied and highly drinkable. Flanders red characteristics. I definitely recommend this one.
