Bottle green, 330 ml
Appearance: Pours dark amber to brown body colour, head is off - white, cappuccino like, there is gentle lacing, head is frothy and quite compact in texture but not big, initially at least medium but decreasing to small than lasting. Body is perfectly clear and saturation is quite good, carbonation is natural like and gentle. Body colour is very similar to a Brown Ale but maybe not such intensive.
Aroma: Creamy, cappuccino, gentle notes of toasty barley grains, all - malt aroma, dessert like, gentle notes of flowery hoppyness, no juicyness and red fruits like in German Dunkels, to summerize as you close your eyes and do not know the colour it has an aroma like a Jever Pilsener but with more flowery, not herbal oriented hoppyness.
Flavour: Quite high hoppyness resulting in a dry texture and moderate to high bitterness but not so bitter and dry as Jever Pilsener, hoppyness is more flowery oriented in aroma than in flavour but is still not as herbal as in Jever Pilsener, dessert beer, slightly sweet, gentle roasty grains makes it different from kind of more red - fruity Munich Malt Dunkel. Finish duration is moderate.
Palate: Body is light to medium, texture is practically dry, carbonation on palate is soft, finish feel is mineral, ashy, without any fruity accents, cardboard, dryness, bitterness, neutral nose, gentle alcoholic warmth.

............. nice dark beer brewed a few kilometers away ....... the beer is an extension o the normal, typical Jever, which is popular as a northern german classical beer and has a 10-15 year old never changed marketing campaign - the new holding now has changed ..... the dark is a light dark an it tasts like dark beers taste :-]

Bottled 33cl. It pours a beautiul dark brown beer with a small tanned head. The nose is sweet with notes of hay, honey, roasted malt and caramel. Sweet taste with a hint of wax, milk chocolate, honey and hay accompanied by a decent bitterness. Slightly acidic. Some lacework. The finish is mainly of milk chocolate and dried fruits. Not that terribly pleasant and a bit metallic.
