Theis (8349) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 10, 2006
Bottle at Stubnitz - a "concert-boat" - to a concert/gig with Otomo Yoshihide (Jap) on turntables - no records on, just the noise from the "pick-up" - on these turntables the pick-up was just a metalwire - after that he played a couple of tracks on guitar. Later he brought in 6 friends (4 Danish + 2 Japanese). They played a very noisy gig on 3 drumsets and 4 guitars, fantastic. Well now to the beer. Dark, dark brown almost black - offwhite to light brown head. A very malty beer, roasted, sweet, some chokolate, light nutty, bread... i am not gonna miss this beer, but would like to experience that gig again.

Bottle. Medium head with medium duration. Color is close to black. Aroma is roast malt and maybe some chocolate. Taste is roast malt and a bit smoked malt as well. Good finish.

Another good schwarzbier; aroma of chocolate, roasted coffee, maybe caramel. Smooth and bitter at the same time. May not be delicious, but is fully satisfying.

Furseth (1612) - Kungälv, SWEDEN - JUN 29, 2006
Bottle: Dark red nice white foam. ARoma of koffee and dark chocolate, and almost a bit of citric ending. Maltyness, and and a balanced hops in the end. Thin to Medium body, with a medium bitter finish.

Tranquillity (1314) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUN 1, 2006
Bottle, 330ml. Sometimes all the ingredients for a good beer are there, but they just don’t go well together. No head, very dark colour, almost like a black beer. Quite malty, burned aroma. A sparkling sensation, where uneven malt and hops jump around. The hops finally win and take over in the finish. Not a bad beer at all, but it doesn’t earn more than 10/20 from me.

NOt teally nice, it has an interesting aroma, but later is like a nasty Holsten but in dark, but there is something.

Aroma was mainly chocolaty but a bit of grass comes in too. Taste is similar, maybe lacking the body you need here.

   AROMA 8/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 13/20
Dachaz (6) - Belgrade, SERBIA - MAR 26, 2006 does not count
It has beautiful smell as well as strong and long-lasting bitter taste. It contains somewhat standard 4.9% alcochol volume. It should be mentioned that bottle has great elegant design. Nothing new, just plain good dark beer.
